  1. I have been continuing with this build and would like to ask another question. What is the size of the M130 Flare/Chaff dispenser? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful as I have a few to make for this build.

  2.               I am about to start a build of a MH-60G in 1/72nd that operated with the 55th SOS during Op Desert Storm. I am using the Hasegawa HH-60D as a base kit along with the Armycast update set for weapons and the such like, plus markings from Werner wings. I am having a little trouble with the mounting of the guns at the front windows behind the cockpit area. In the update set they are mounted on the outside of the craft on the undercarriage (or somewhere abouts there), whilst the few pictures that I have found on www.dstorm.eu appear to show them on the inside. The internal ones also seem to be fitted to a beam asembly which looks similar to me to the ones that I saw when working on RAF Chinooks. Could someone please point me in the right direction and also where I can find some internal pictures of the MH-60G during or close to this time period, especially of other equipment fitted. I wiill thank in advance for any help given.

  3. I have a French produced and published book on the Mirage F1, which has 1/72nd line drawings and camo schemes included. Now the strange thing about this book is that although everything is in French the colours for the camo schemes are given in FS numbers isnstead of their French equivalents.

Yes, this link is not working. Unfortunately!    : (      : (

The previous 2 links are interesting with some nice details. I like the parachute with the checker board pattern on it! Michigan ANG boys had fun with those aircraft! : )  : )  : )

    Best regards

    Gabor

Not only that, they brought their own car.

  5. Thanks for the info Dave. Question, have you ever though of doing a Op D Storm sheet of Marine aircraft in 1/72? A lot were done straight after, but a lot were inaccurate and better research of today has produced some much better sheets.

The British used Mk 117/13 dumb bombs since the 50s.  That is what the RAF started op GRANBY with and it was about a week or so into the war that they started using the paveway As they only introduced the TIALD targeting pods at the same time.  But the RAF only had about 5 TIALD pods, so one tornado carried the TIALD pod and he did all he target paining for the rest of the tornados with the Paveways.

A slight correction here the RAF only had 2 TIALD pods, named Tracey and Sandra from Viz comics, but they did have 5 aircraft modded to be fitted with these pods.

Also the Buccaneers that carried the Pave Spike had also arrived in theatre to lase for the Tornados.

Also this might help with your original quest:- https://www.dstorm.eu/pages/loadout/tornado.html

It looks like CH-46 is one type that I have not touched yet - I will start doing some research for a new sheet. Realistically speaking, this is probably for early 2022.

It appears that there have been several nice sheets, mostly covering the USMC career of the type post Desert Storm. I am drawn to the high-vis Navy and early USMC schemes, and perhaps foreign KV-107s. What would you be interested in seeing on a new CH-46 sheet?

To be honest I am very interested in D Storm and have never been able to find a CH-46 sheet especially in 1/72, so if you could I would be very grateful.

This is great - Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) rejected my VAT number application as incomplete. I had every intention to obey any reasonable rule and do things the right way. But apparently they need not only my driver's license, but also bank account information, mortgage statement (as a secondary proof of ID) etc.

I am not going to give any of this to a country that I am not a citizen of. No wonder many smaller businesses basically just stopped selling to the UK.

Did you guys really vote for this??  At this point I am not sure how to handle this - I may be forced to simply stop selling to the UK and redirect everyone to Hannants.

No we did not vote for this, but from what I gather (and it may not be correct) the EU is going to be doing something similar later in the year. The UK government is supposedly getting ahead of the game. It would be a pity if you cannot sell direct to UK people as I would prefer to give you the full amount for every decal sheet that I buy from you, so that it is invested in more decal sheets for me to buy.

I hadn't heard that one Jabba29 - do you have more info ?

    Ken

Happened at RAF Brize Norton when somehow the ground crew refueled the tail end first or something went wrong with how the aircraft distributed the fuel. I know someone who was actually on the aircraft and felt the aircraft nose move upwards and hastily when for the front door and made his escape.
