Still much more intresting than what i get now. I work very close to D.C. right in Andrews' flight path so i see the occasional c-5 or c-17 but mostly its all marine VIP helos. I did see Air force 1 at very low level the other day though.

I have an esci F-104g that i plan to do as a marinefleiger machine, but the paint guide is kind of crap, there is a spot that is quite obvious but not mentioned. If anyone could tell me what it is and what colour it should be i would much appreciate it. Cheers, rusty.

Yep, a lot of the RAF and RN types are of particular interest to me, as when i was a wean we lived right along loch fyne up in the highlands and we used to see buccs, jaguars and tornadoes flying past at fairly low level all the time, the tornadoes always seemed to come in over the hill and light their cans right over our house, which was annoyingly loud some times. We lived up a hill a bit one day my father looked out the front window and the was a B-52 flying along the loch about eye level. I live in the states now so sadly i don't get to see any of that anymore, so i just build the models,

:woo: now i can build a nuce looking yellow jacks gnat to go with the rest of the display teams! I hope hornby carries on re-tooling the airfix back catalouge, because there is a lot of cool RAF stuff that i would love to see new kit for. New tool javelin perhaps?

I was looking on the airfix website the other day and saw a 3d computer image of a gnat due for release, but no mention about the tooling. Does anybody know if this is a reissue of the old kit or is it newly tooled? Cheers! Rusty.
