  1. the older version in 48 contained four frets. the newer version only has 3 frets.
  2. tamiya surface primer and mr.surfacer 1200.
  3. Resin seats are a must imo. Couple of people used the sword parts but the detail in their resin slacks.
  4. surprise surprise surprise squadron is selling the trumpy kit for $24 bucks.
  5. accurate wise or ease of build? more of recessed vs raised detail if anything. trumpy kit has horrible landing gear and it sits wrong.
  6. I thought the charlie kit was molded in multi color as well?
  7. I don't want to bother with wolfpacks instrument panel decal or PE when it comes around. I been eye balling airscales 1/48 instrument panel decals and wonder if they are correct for a t-38? they listed on their site that they are accurate for early jets like the F-100 and F-104 so I'm assuming they will work? thanks!
  8. alright, thanks for the reply!!! Hope they send everything else as well.
  9. WPD is sending them straight to me. did your kit include the canopy mask? I already started working on it anyways. you'll need some sprue spreaders to have it match up with the lower fuselage/wing section.
  10. isn't it suppose to include a canopy mask as well? pookie, I only have the WPD kit so I can't compare it to anything. I don't have any scale drawings or anything like that. SB emailed me back and WPD will be sending me the decal/instruction sheet.
  11. just received my Nasa boxing from SB and the decal and instruction sheet were missing and no so called resin wheels.
  12. snagged this sheet today. beautiful work sir!
  13. I have a soft side for the Spad. it's like a pit bull with wings. if I may ask, how did you go about building the FM22 whip atenna? thanks!
  14. I was wondering the same thing since the Nasa boxing was cheaper then the USAF boxing at SB. I was originally going to order from lucky model but got the nasa boxing from SB.
  15. only problem with their 109 kits is you need to hack up the engine if you want a closed cowl. it's very simple though.
  16. it depends on the subject. some kits are straight forward like their hellcat kits and some are more difficult like their focke wulf kits. if building any of their butcher bird kits, read the instructions carefully.
  17. need some reference material for a skyraider build. what are some good reference books out there? thanks!
  18. thanks! yep, saw your original post about the nasa markings being off.
  19. spruebrothers has the NASA and USAF boxing and one is cheap then the other. I'm no talon expert but whats with the cheaper boxing? thanks!
  20. their kits are either pretty good or extremely horrible.
  21. had a feeling only hasegawa made those decals.
  22. misplaced the front wheel on an F-104 charlie. looking for another front wheel and need part U16 for the rear landing gear. also looking for the decals from the hasegawa kit "09647" thanks!
  23. thanks for all the break info everyone! just having a hard time on choosing markings. i'll have a whole fleet like CF-104 as some point. also, does anyone make 1/48 decals for the "fighting 69" bird? again, thanks!
  24. I'm aware the canadian bird has larger tires and theres absolutely zero for AM wheels. thanks!
