  1. Airfix does a lot of English aircraft so I thought I'd try.
  2. Eduard says the upper fuselage is dk. Sea gray on their 1/48 mk.ixc but I thought it was ocean gray? Did the later version have have dk sea gray uppers? Thanks!
  3. Can we get a 1/48 Mk.II tempest some maybe?
  4. Yet, I'm here still waiting for the super etendard that was announced way before this and the mig.
  5. Pretty much. Don't know why they made the upper cowling two pieces on the spitfire.
  6. I really hope airfix does an early version D as meng doesn't have this option. http://www.hyperscale.com/2016/reviews/kits/mengls006reviewbg_1.htm
  7. I have an extremely weak spot for sea camo spads.....

  12. I bag and label all my spare parts and store then in 1 of 2 storage bins. either jet or prop.
  13. I've used squadron, tamiya,mr.hobby, and other fillers/putties. I feel that squadron seems to be very grainy but is easy to work with. tamiya and mr.hobby dry pretty fast but dry rock solid so sanding my be a pit tedious. If i'm trying to fill small gaps or scratches, i'll thin the putty down with lacquer thinner or use mr.surfacer.
  14. I know there are a few SU-27 kits in 1/72 and I was wondering which is one is a combination on accuracy and ease of build. I'm not sure on which exact variant I want to build but it will be a single seat. variant. I see that hasegawa and trumpeter both have a one piece upper fuselage which is nice. this build will be strictly OOB. I have a few trumpeter kits but never used their decals. How do trumpy decals hold up?
  15. I'm happy with the tamiya kit. I didn't know meng ventured into this subject. I think eduard would be nice if it doesn't have an open cowl option. Their 1/48 Emil was......
