Use their Mr. Color Leveling Thinner and thin it at about a 1:1 ratio. You may need a bit more thinner than 1:1.

I try to but all the similar parts in their own zip-lock style bags. So all the 1/48 weapons go in one bag, all the 1/48 leftover Superhornet parts go into another, etc.
I try to remove as much of the sprue as I can to save space.

Looks good to me!

Looks great!
I would suggest, though, that you take some pics on a clean table or something. Its just had to make out detail on your build with so much going on in the picture.

I just used one on an Hasegawa 1/48 F-2A. I thought it was great!

This has worked for me on several occasions: Dip a brush in water and brush over the decal that you want to remove. Continue to do this for a while... maybe as long as 20-30 minutes. After some time the decal should begin to lift at the edges. At this point I begin to gently work the brush under the decal like I'm trying to pry it off. Be careful to take your time and not force anything, though. If you are careful you should be able to re-use the decal.
I just did this yesterday on a door decal that I misplaced on an airliner kit.

Good work so far. I've got this one in the stash so I'll be watching with interest.

I think the only one I've ever seen is the Hasegawa 1/72 kit.

Nice work!

That was itI have some Mr. Color Replenishing agent, and it works great to bring back dried out Mr. color paint, this may or may not be what Fly-n-hi is referring to.
Edit: I've never tried it with Mr. surfacer or Mr. dissolved putty, but if you have Mr. color paint, you can't go wrong ;)/>

How do you thin Mr Dissolved Putty? I took a look at mine & it looks "gloopy". Thanks in advance :thumbsup:/>
Gunze sells a product specifically to put into Mr Surfacer and Mr Dissolved putty to bring it back to life. I can't recall the name of it at the moment but its basically thinner.

Thanks again Karl and Jmreed.

Excellent! I have this one in the stash. Your's is very inspirational.

Why chance it? Just stick some weight in the nose and have the peace of mind.

Great work! Top notch weathering.

Turned out great!

...and you can get the Hase F-22 for $25-$30 on Ebay. I got mine for $24 with S&H.

I have built the Academy Raptor and now am starting (sort of) a Hasegawa Raptor. The only "bad" thing about the Hase kit is the fact that it has the oversized surface detail. But to be honest I don't really mind it so much.
The one thing better about the Academy kit is that it comes with the external drop tanks which makes for an interesting look.

Nicely done!

You could also cut up an old cotton T-shirt and buff the paint with that.
