Way ahead of you. Here's my contribution to the F-20 "Adversary" pool:The F-20 was pitched as an Adversary for the Navy. Think of the Whif schemes that can be used for this. I remember going to an airshow as a kid and seeing the F-20 on static. I have a soft spot for this jet, so I'll be building a couple.

Bump...

Excellent work! She's a real stunner!
-
Well done! I have one in the stash and I hope it turns out as nice! Actually, I have 2 in the stash.
-
Excellent work once again!

I suppose there is some truth to that. But he didn't start off by mentioning the reporter...he started off by mentioning Fox News. The reporter was sort of an afterthought. So based on that priority it was really directed at Fox News. In any event it doesn't change any points that were made.Dude, that's exactly what he did. Please do take a thorough look at the opening post.
And anyway, for someone who doesn't remember the last time he/ she watched that so called news channel, rest assured: you're wasting your energy defending any kind of principles in a discussion about that outfit. Not worth it :(/>/>
And once again...I never defended Fox News. Please quote me where I did if you can. Or should I say "Dude, I never defended that outfit!"
Maybe you'd care to let us know what news source you recommend?

For a thread that is clearly labeled "General Discussion - NO POLITICS" This certainly degraded quickly.
Folks, it's pretty clear that with an audience of modelers spread across the entire globe, it's a given that we are going to have, at times, widely divergent opinions on topics of religion and politics, not to mention other "hot" topics. Heck, we can't even agree on the proper algorithms to be used when counting rivets (attempt at humor).
As someone who has actually worked in the media (both in the military and civilian sector), I can tell you that there isn't a media source on this planet that is 100% objective in its' reporting. I've watched editors and producers, depending on their PERSONAL political beliefs chose to run or not run stores from AP, UPI, and Reuters. This rampant bias has been enforced by journalism schools that think journalism means that you inject your own positions and policies into the "news" and has infected all quarters. In short...it's all CRAP, which is why I chose to ditch my training, education, and experience, and ply my wares elsewhere.
A wise consumer of all things will get their news from multiple sources, perform due diligence, and form their own opinions.
Now can we get back to modeling? :cheers:/>/>
Well put! This was basically the point I was trying to make. Thanks.

And for the record I'd be calling anybody out exactly the same if they had something like "CNN = Communist News Network."
-
This makes alot of sense. I'm not even sure what your point is. Well done!Yes, because we all know that accuracy in reporting has a liberal bias. Facts are also liberal. Well done.
-
in the place where i lived, i'm considered as a person of the right political wing (mostly for the economic things), with some moderate opinions...i guess that rednecks would call me communists???
How would I know?

Easy there, big fella!!! I never defended Fox News. Would you care to quote me where I did? I can't even remember the last time I watched Fox News. You just jumped to a major (and incorrect) conclusion. Heck, I'm a registered Independent. So I'm guessing you didn't bother to read my response to Toadbwg, where I agreed with him that stupidity in the media was not restricted to Fox News?
But then again, I guess I'm at the point that when I hear somebody defending Fox News, I realize they're just announcing to the world that they're a Redneck. Nothing more.
Fly-n-hi, you're in love with Jesus, guns and Monster Trucks. We get it. Thank you.
Vince
Well, since you can't quote me I await your apology. And you can apologize for the childish "Redneck" accusation. I got a chuckle out of that as I sat here typing from my house in Scottsdale, AZ. The only names I called you were "Liberal" and "Left Winger." Are you not? If not then I apologize. But I'll bet you are.
I know for sure that this thread started as an attack on Fox News. I call people out on that kind of stuff. Now if you had said something like "Fox News, CNN, MSNBC all report the most ridiculous stories" then you might have had some credibility. But you didn't. You could have singled out the story or the reporter, even. But you didn't. You singled out Fox News. Why? To make a snide insinuation that Fox News is some kind of slanted network.
Just admit it. We already know its true. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that.
What's really ridiculous is that you get defensive over a divisive thread that you started. You created this thread knowing full well that an argument would probably follow. The funny part is that your response to me was the knee jerk reactionary response.
Edit:
Now I see that you did respond to Toad's post but that doesn't really change anything. You had no choice. He was being a voice of reason.

Before we get too much of a Fox news hate party going on here, do yourself a favor and don't watch ANY Major American network news channel. CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, PMSNBC....
I stopped watching years ago and my sanity is better for it. All Junk.
..or BBC for that matter. If you think American network news is bias wait until you watch UK's state run media.
-
I'm at the point now when I hear somebody bash Fox News I realize they're just announcing to the world that they are a liberal. Nothing more.
Vince, you're a left winger. We get it. Thank you.

Beautiful builds...but what the heck? A TWA 767-200! That was perhaps the nice's I have seen in a very, very long time and perhaps the most difficult finish of any of your builds.
Thank you very much! I actually painted the twin red stripes on. The decals were so bad I couldn't use them. They didn't fit at all. This build is sort of special since my father flew 767s for TWA.
-
Roberto, thank you!

I'll make you a deal...I think you need to tone-down the language there. The most disturbing part about your display is the fact that you do not have a completed Revell A319 that a certain someone gave you back in 2012. This same person even showed you where to get the decals of the airline you want to make it out of.
You build at least one kit and show us a WIP thread and my next project will be the A319. How's that sound?
-
Fantastic! I had the pleasure of flying on Air Tahiti Nui when we went to Bora Bora for our honeymoon.
-
Joel & Bill, thanks alot! Joel, my wife is a professional photographer. She gave me one of her old "hand me down" cameras to use and I've been trying to teach myself how to use it. I still have much to learn but so far I'm enjoying it!
I have a few kits on the bench now. Although I tend to be much more active in the FSM forums I'll try to remember to post pics here, too.
-
Thanks, Greywolf!
It seems that the F-16 is the winner of the bunch. The irony is that the kit was really a POS. Out of the 4 that you see above this one was by far the worst! I had to do alot of extra work to get it to fit right, fill seams, etc. There were more than a few occasions when I wanted to send it flying! Its the Italeri boxing but I believe that its a reboxing of the Kinetic kit. From now on I'll just stick with the Tamiya kits.
The F-16, C-17 and F-15E have WIP threads over at the FSM forums...if any of you are interested in seeing them. The 767 does not, though.
-
Very nice!
-
Great work! Those race cars are fantastic! I have never built one but yours are inspiring enough for me to want to at least try one!
-
Superb work! The Kfirs are especially eye catching! How did those kits go together?
Are you retired? How do you have the time to build so many (good) models?
-
Fantastic work! All 1/32? You're going to need a bigger shelf!
-
Excellent work! I have one of the Academy F-4C/D's in my stash and I hope it turns out as well as yours!

I personally have no interest in a T-37. It seems boring to me so I won't pay for one. I'm sure I'm not alone.
The old Monogram F-20s regularly sell for $40+ on eBay so there's definitely a market for the F-20s.
And btw, I'm pretty sure F-20 pilot Chuck Yeager didn't train on the T-37.
