  1. I'm currently working on this one. 165, please. 165! -John
  2. Daniel, Sounds good. I had a Revell one from a kit long ago...saved it, lost it in moving somewhere. Thanks. -John
  3. Mark, Great photography as always. Really enjoy seeing your posts on here. And agree with you..favorite scheme, by far. Nice to see the stripes/tradition being continue..no matter what size. Good on 'em! -John
  4. Thanks, stealthy. That's what I'm wondering...if I'm wrong about the size and I'm just gonna get a similar result from an aftermarket purchase then I'm not going to worry about it. Just wondering if I was onto something or not. -John
  5. I'm knee deep in my Hasegawa 1/48 F-14D and I'm just wondering about chin pod options. I can't help but think the Hase-provided chin pod for the D is a little, well..puny. Am I wrong, or is there a better option out there for size, etc? Thanks, -John
  6. Nice to see the quality of this build continuing with the paint job. Well done! -John
  7. K, I didn't mean miniguns. Guess I was really talking about the M60. Questions remain... The blown up photo helps a little, but I was really hoping to see a more detailed photo of the mounts. Thanks, -John
  8. I've built the kit in my younger days, but want to have another go using the two CC resin updates. I've only found two photos of the upgraded SH-2F with the dual discos and minigun(s). Ideally, I'd like to build it as a 93 or later a/c in the lighter, all-grey scheme but have only been able to find one photo of an upgraded F with the discos and chaff/flare dispensers in this scheme (actually had one of the discos removed in the photo..see below). I've found this thread: (http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/lofiversion/index.php?t140892.html) and the 4-page one. Anyone know what was the
  9. Like it says. I have a resin LANTIRN, but no decals for it. Anyone, for some reason, have the decals available? Thanks, -John
  10. Yes. They are only using two per side now (4 total, as opposed to 8). Still have four mounts on each side, but only prime/light off two.
  11. I was riding in the back of Bert in that video. Here's my perspective from inside (they fly the sh!t outta that thing): By far the best weather we've had around here all spring. Nice shot of the hornet, btw. -John p.s. They're only doing 16 more JATO takeoffs...EVER. (Though they did mention something about the possibility of getting a year extension)
  12. Mike, MUCHO BETTERO on the straps/buckles. You've captured it nicely with the revision. -John
  13. It's not the origination of the straps that is the issue..it's the termination of them. They connect to a fork-shaped, male end buckle on the harness. And that's all the further down the body they extend. Here is a figurine that clearly illustrates the connectors for the shoulder straps. -John P.S. Any more pics of that hornet from the Nats? That is pretty sick.
  14. Sometimes the parachute portion of the straps (the thicker, padded, green portion of the straps) will fall off the shoulders. Just depends on how "blown out" the jet is. Regardless, the straps stop at the front of the chest as they share the same connecting point. They do not extend down towards the torso like a 5-point harness in a racecar. HTH, -John
  15. Funny, my buddy complained about the throttle response. Basically said the jet sucked.
  16. 3 from a hazy Thursday afternoon. -John
  17. Chappie, Guys most likely training to fly the Herc. Students here stateside fly at least a couple low-levels in the T-44/TC-12s before moving on to the C-130. Cheers, -John p.s. Awesome photos of what looks like one of the better low-level routes out there.
  18. Dean, Thanks! I'm looking for the BRU-42 ITER, to be more specific. It attaches to the Tomcat's bombracks as illustrated below: -John
  19. Looking for two Triple Ejector Racks for my Hase Tomcat. Thanks, -John
  20. Trunked a recent flight over good ole South Texas for my buddy Ryan. -John
