Ive been following this build from the get go. This is amazing. Great creativity and ingenuity. I am quite impressed. Thanks for posting!

Yeah I think that might be because I dont have a moisture trap on my compressor yet. Which Is a bad thing being in Florida in the Summer. Alot of my paint jobs have come out a little what I call pebbly. I might also try washing before I paint my next one and see if that works. I didnt use a flat finish on this one. I just glossed it and called it good. Thanks for the praise and helpful hints!

I cant STAND the term "drone". I prefer the term UAV, however the official term is RPA (since there is technically a pilot and crew) Regardless of what you call it its a nifty aircraft even if it will one day take the fun out of my job. (no I'm not a pilot) This is the Accurate Miniature predator in 72 scale. I wasn't quite happy with the kit decals. They were quite a test of patience, but here is the end result. Thanks for looking.

Here are some pics of my 72 scale panther. It seems like each kit that I build SOME issue has to pop up. With this one... I didnt coat the canopy in future (I cant seem to find it here) and it frosted. Shoulda used white glue I added some nose weight, but it wasn't enough. Then to top it off the desk/carpet monster got ahold of one of the actuators on the landing gear. I need to improve my picture taking skills, but here it is. -

Thanks for the quick replies! All the advice should help a alot. In the interest of sanity and to build my skills, ive decided to put it aside for now, but Ill get back to it eventually.

So I am working on my RoG 72 scale stearman and having hard time doing the rigging. Its my first bi plane. I thought about just leaving it off but talked my self into going the more realistic route. Leaving it of... it probably would have looked better than what I have now. I have thread and superglue all over the place and some very saggy pathetic "wires". Any hints or tips from bi plane rigging pros? I tried stretching sprue, but i couldn't get a fine enough line. Maybe I'm not advanced enough for this yet... I might end up just tossing this build and trying again once I get some more experi

Ill try not to be a spoiler, but If you havent seen the movie Super 8 and your into Sci Fi I would give it a watch. The main charachter is a modeler! He brags to this girl about Dry brushing, and discusses the finer points of different shades of grey. (Thats Euro Grey! Theres like 8 different shades of grey!) Its a theme throughout the movie. Just dont let your freinds blow them up with fireworks ;-) Any other movies with modeling themes any one can think of?

Here is my Monogram C-47 (RD-4) in Navy Markings. The kit decals were old and gave me trouble so I had to use some from the spares box, and paint the red strip which didnt turn out like I wanted, and I had a little bit of an overspray with the red on one of the wings. I didnt quite trust my paining skills to add on the black stripe down the fuselage, so I left it off. But I am happy with the results. Enough talking. Heres the pics By the way if you get the chance. I HIGHLY recommend the Navy Museum at NAS Pensacola. Especialy the new exibit with Que Serra Serra hanging from the ceiling. -

Disregard! I found a use for the old canopy. Thanks! -

Good evening... I had a 72 scale PM Model F-5B (or as the box states a T-38... <_< ) I was working on when... I thought it would be a good idea to use a dremel tool on the clear part. Which ended up melting it. If any one has one leftover or knows how best to get ahold of one please PM me. I don't really want to buy a whole new kit, so if I don't find one, then this kit will be become an airbrush trainer. Thanks!

First off I will admit this is not my best work. My best work was a 72 scale B-1 I built that won juniors at an IPMS meet many years ago ;-) I did however learn a TON from this build. Its only me second kit after a break of about 5 years. So here are some of the lessons learned highlights. 1. Take the time to research! I got the colors alll wrong. A simple look at airlners.net would have helped a ton. 2. Adding all the right pieces in the build process would have helped. I forgot a couple of parts I had to add after paint... 3. Bare Metal Foil isnt good for canopies. Its too sticky and

Today I purchased an old Ertl ESCI F-86e and the decals were unusable. I was hoping some one would be willing to part with the original kits decals for a price, or if any one could point me in the direction where I could get some aftermarkets to make a Spanish AF sabre. I would very much appreciate it. I did some preliminary research, but came up empty. Please PM me with any info. Thanks!
