  1. Nice trio. Especially NH342 with 'hand painted' invasion markings. I have read some remarks about the poor quality of AZ's canopies but the ones here seem to look okay.
  2. Nice livery. You don't see that much Spitfires built in this outfit. Perhaps you could improve the looks by checking the angles of the main gear legs (too much outwards) and the position of the wheels (negative camber). It's now a kind of BF-109 undercarriage and I suppose those guys on 'that island west of the main continent Europe' would not like that. :-) Cheers, Peter
  3. Great paint job and weathering details. It really makes this kit look like a worn out Hellenic F-4. Perhaps you could check the canopies. From the pictures it looks they are not properly aligned. Cheers, Peter
  4. Oh what fun this is....buying the 4363 kit to build a F-16AM then 'convincing' Revell to send me the transparent sprue of kit no. 4691 (4363 kit has a tinted one). Furthermore buying some extra stuff as aftermarket pitot and aoa sensors, reinforcement plates and ACES-II seat. Installing the CMK seamless intake and breaking it out again having noticed that this is the small intake and the kit part is THE part to use. So spending a lot of time to stucco the craters which I made for the CMK sucker and now.....now I learn I should have bought the 04669 kit in the first place! Well, I still can and
  5. I totally agree to that Chuck. Looks like your F-4 but then kicked up a few notches in the proper scale. ;) Wish I could spray around on my kits which such a result! Cheers, Peter
  6. Maybe a dumb question but..... And now..... Where's the preshading now? Gone with the flash? Cheers, Peter
  7. Just jumping in while building a Revell F-16 at the moment (kit 04363 which a lot similar to the F-16C kit I believe). When checking some parts my eyes 'fell' on the detail of the main wheel rims. Revell included 'old style rims in this kit (which is supposingly correct since it was released as an F-16A) but somewhere along the line (MLU update) the Dutch air force swapped those for a newer version See pics below for what I am aiming at: old: new: Anyone aware of some aftermarket club that can supply these in 1/72 scale or does know if the F-16C kit (04669) have the correct wheels? Che
  8. Nice work so far but before you close the fuselage halves, shouldn't there be some wiring behind/around the radio sets? I assume Bluetooth and WiFi were not the fashion in those days. :-) Peter
  9. Psst: 77-089 was an F-15A, not a C type. But if you don't tell anyone they won't notice Cheers, Peter
  10. For those who think 1/32 is the only true scale....look at the pictures here above and think again! Nice job done here. Cheers, Peter
  11. Altough the gold tinting on the canopy looks great I do have my doubts about its correctness. If I am not mistaken the tinted canopies have been replaced by bright clear ones after the introduction of night vision goggles. Piccie: What you can also see on this picture is that the airframe has stiffners and the stubs on the leading edges shouldn't be there too. I guess you did not know. But hey, this isn't 'the critics corner' so apart from this it is a nice representation of the J-367. Cheers, Peter
  12. Why a gloss coat is better to put decals on is not much science. A gloss coat...the shinier the better... (als een hondelul in de maneschijn so to speak :D ) will result in a very smooth surface. It will help to get the air out underneath your decal when you have just put in in place. I matt coat has rough surface so tiny bits of air get trapped underneath the decal and that is clearly visible by the socalled 'silvering effect'. After decalling lay another coat of gloss varnish over the model to seal the decals. Let it dry thorougly for a few days and then you can do a pin or sludge wash. Whe
  13. That's funny. I remember a build of a Belgian fellow builder on a Dutch forum who has done just the same with a 1/72 F-4EJ a while ago: He even has installed leds behind the IP's... I hope you will not follow him on this one and use a tranparant perspex pole instead. Peter
  14. Why this never happens to me... ... just wrap a piece of masking tape around the end of the shaft and leave halve of an inch 'out side'. The knife will never roll off your desk again....straight towards your private artillery. Cheers, Peter
