  1. And that would be the rudder being deflected to the left in my opinion.
  2. Well, it doesn't have engines as those the other one, but i think the other one is not facing the wind directly. Also the slats and flaps on the first one are deployed making it 'take off' more easily.
  3. Well i'm not a big beer drinker (maybe 2 or 3 a week) but i can appreciate a goog Jupiler now and then. Please tell me you don't like heineken? I respect everbody's opinion, but i went to amsterdam last summer (to see the city, not to smoke pot) and had a heineken just to try it and i must say i find it a weak beer. You should try the Belgian pilsners Jupiler or Stella Artois. Personally i would go with the Jupiler. (BTW, stay away from our Christal. It isn't good. Seriously.)
  4. So the people can see the pictures faster. Great job by the way.
  5. Sorry to drag up an old post, but i have a question. As most of us know, when you build the Revell 747-400 you have to drop the trailing edge of the wings 6mm. But what i'm wondering now is how does this affect the landing gear. 2 of the main landiggear are fitted to the wing. seeing as those are dropped 6mm, don't the struts of those gears become to long? BTW, very nice build. Trully epic.
  6. OK, time for some pictures. First a few shots of the cockpit i made. It is made from scratch, so it is a bit rough Then, a few pictures of the nose gear that i (tried) to improve. I'm now busy sanding the fuselage joints. It is going well. If that is done, i will join the wings do the fuselage and do some more sanding en puttying (not in that order). Once that is done, i can start reparing and finishing the tail. Have got to be careful with that one.
  7. OK, it has been a while so here is an update. I had some time to work on the plane this weekend. I made a little cockpit for the kit and did some static dischargers on the vertical tail (hope i don't regret this). The 2 fuselage halves are now together and it is time to putty and sand the joints. The ailerons on the wings are down (going for a parked A320 here) and so are the elevators. I also painted the wheels with the trick where you dilute the paint greatly and let it run on the rim edge. Never imagened that i would work with such small wheels, but it did and it looks a 100 times be
  8. Isn't a fortnight 14 days? Anyway, i am an assistant at a company that outfits high voltage distribution rooms. I mostly draw the plans for the rooms and make sure the documents are in order. I work 44 hours a week (overtime is included in the contract, so no extra pay or recuperation for that) and get 20 days off a year + national holidays. I used to work at a factory making wipersystems for cars as a assistent foreman, but the job wasn't challenging enough anymore, plus it was very unhealthy (melting rubber can't be good for you).
  9. Very nice work. Sorry to hear about the gear snapping. I just have 2 questions: - Is the paint some what yellow or is that just a photography problem? - Why did you decide to paint it without the wings on? Keep up the good work.
  10. Any more progress? I was really following this build because i have an A340 is my stash.
  11. Well that would be a fault in the description, not the photo. Is it the fact that they will be very hard to move because they are parked close together?
  12. Very nice build. You really captured the weight of the bird, how wierd that may sound. Just one question, if the nozzles are down, down don't the flaps go dowb fullt too? Or am i mistaken,
  13. Very nice. Almost wants me to start my An 124, but i am working on a A320 (will update my topic soon) and have to do a build for my girlfriend (Brussels airlines B733). Maybe after that.
  14. That isn't just good for a 12 year old, it good full stop. I have been modelling on and off for 3 years now, and i am not as good as you.
  15. Very nice. How long did you work on this one and more importantly, what will be your next project?
  16. The german site states that it will be released 12/2012, so we need to have a bit of patience.
  17. Here is a site, but they are sold out. http://www.airline-hobby.com/shop/index.cfm If you search for 'continental', it is the 8th result. The FP productnumber is AD5088
  18. I think Flightpath did a set once, but i can't track them down.
  19. I have to agree with sebastijan. The red wingtips are to big. Here is a picture of a Polet airlines An 124 where you can see the wingtips. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Polet-Airlines/Antonov-An-124-100-Ruslan/1898343/L/&sid=be717758e85c5307822f98abd9cadfea Also, the tip of the vertical stabilizer is supposed to be white. But, even with these minor mistakes that can easily fixed it is a very nice build. I especially love the powercables for the cranes. Keep up the good work.
  20. Really? Damn, that would have been scary.
  21. Here is a video of the pilot's point of view with sound. Looks like overbanking, but it could be a failure of some sort. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f70_1333743291
