I know, but so was their 747-400, isn't it? I just hope it will be a nice kit.
-
This is good to know. People can buy the 744 and 748 revell kit and make a decent 744. Hope that the new 748 doesnet have the revell pinch.

1/300 Zhengdefu Airbus A340-313 Review/Preview
streetstream replied to Ranger_Chris61's topic in Airliner Modeling
Finally i spotted a fault by just looking at the parts. The wingtips are wrong. The width of the winglet versus the wingtip is wrong. Either the winglet is too small or the wingtip too big. -
POLL:Sabena A330/A340 decals (mid 90's livery)
streetstream replied to streetstream's topic in Airliner Modeling
Yes, i'm talking about that one. I got one of your A310 sets. Hoping to get some more, but first i have to find some more A310's. But if you can do the A330/340, what is your going rate for something like that? -
POLL:Sabena A330/A340 decals (mid 90's livery)

Nobody? :S Seriously? :( -
Well, i always like Sabena (living in Belgium) and i always liked their mid 90' livery, especially on the Airbus A340. I acquired a set of 1/144 decals but that was a lucky find. i want some more but they (DACO Products) don't make them anymore and won't do so because of lack of interessed. Now i'm trying to find out if that is true. So just started a little poll for the first time and maybe (i know i'm naive),withe some good resultes, they might change their minds. So here we go: Would you consider buying a set if produced of would you surely buy a set (please try to be truthful) and if yes

At one point somebody would have had to tell the press that the driver died. Instead of talking to the press, they could have notified the family. It's not like the wife guest her husband died, she read it on the www. So either one of 2 things happend. Either the autorities notified the press first or a publisher guest he was dead and posted it without conformation. In both casses: shame. But that's not the point and i'm sorry for bringing it up. My prayers go out to the families involved. Let's hope no more people die and that the wounded make a speedy recovery.

Very tragic indeed. 3 Belgian military planes took the parents of the children to switserland. Just find it disturbing that the wife of one of the busdrivers killed in the crash had to find out trough the internet. For shame.

Very nice. This is their 2010 scheme. I like their 2011 scheme better. Can"t wait to see how she will look in 2012.

I think it's more likely to have 2 missing. Could be wrong. I personally like people pointing out mistakes so if i would like to correct it, i know what's wrong with it. But i think we can all agree that it's a very impressive model.

What scale is that jaguar in the picture than? 1/48 or 1/72?

Osh Kosh Viper Crash Investigation Complete
streetstream replied to Sig Saur & Son's topic in General Discussion
Maybe in the fog he couldn't find the switch on the controlpanel, or was he worried to hit a wrong switch. Or may, understandably, in the confusion, he forgot. -
The new boxing is correct in size. I don't know if it has engraved panel lines, but i think it does.

So, i'm building the Revell A320 as an Aer lingus one. People who built the kit probably know the cockpit window and the decal for it are to small. So i want to correct that by sanding down the framwork of the clear piece and mark of the real frame. For this i need a scan of a decal in 1/144 so i can use it as a template. Please not that the decal of the revell kit is made to fit the parts of revell and is wrong in size. I also can't use a correct window decal because the aer lingus jets have the frame in the same green as the fuselage, so it will be hard to find a green decal. So, if anyo

If you look at the bottom left corner of the picture i posted above your comment, you can see the reference 1/144. It also states that the model is 28 cm long, but if it were 1/144 it should be around 24 cm.
-
I found it. http://oldmodelkits.com/index.php?detail=18447&page=22&manu=Revell The box states 1/144 and that the model is 28 cm long, but if you calculate it, it should be around 24 cm long.
-
If i'm not mistaken, it should be 9.4649 inches or 240.416mm. You can measure it and see wich one is correct (maybe none).

For those who want to see the cockpit: -
Very nice build. May have to give this kit a go myself.

Very nice build. Love the helmet. But in my humble opinion (keep in mind i don't have any photo's to back me up), can it be that the droptanks need more weathering? Other than that, great build.

Very sad indeed. Too bad he saw this as his only way out. This must make the pain for the family so much worse. I hope they know that they shouldn't blame themself. Like Holmes said, you can never know what a person is really thinking. I hope he finds rest wherever he is now.
