  1. Ok thanks, will try again with cleaning or getting my hands on some gator glue.
  2. So, i am working on my first plane with PE parts (AZ models 1/144 Tu 134) and well i'm not sold on the idea. I first of all tried a testpiece of PE on a bit of sprue and well it barely holds on. I checked the glue and tried it with CA glue and epoxy glue. The epoxy was a bit better, but it is very dense. Now i want to try with some CA glue and accelerator, but is this a good idea? How will this effect paint? Someone familiar with this kit knows the surface area for glue is very tiny, so i'd like to use the accelerator because it is hard to fix the part in place and i believe that hold
  3. It seems to be a snap on kit, not a kit you have to glue, or am i wrong? BTW, on a side note, is there a place i can see wich airliners will be released in the future? Am hoping for a rerelease od revells A330 and their old B742.
  4. Jsut to make sure, these dragon plaes are kits, right? Or are they diecast?
  5. I hope they aren't all cut aways. If their 747-200 is in 1/144 and any good and at revell prices then i will be buying a smellyload of them.
  6. What price are we looking at? Not looking for a take it or leave it price, just want a bit of a target too know what you are looking for (via pm if you prefer).
  7. That is amazing. Very nice and helpful. Thanks. Will look at those very closely when planning my build.
  8. Sure frank, any help is appreciated. This weekend i will be studying the kit and drawing up a gameplan, but i don't expect the build to start this year, because i have 2 more build i wanna start with first, one of wich will also have activated flaps, but on an easier aircraft because it will be my first time.
  9. Very nice. Ny nest build will be a 737-400, but after that one i to will be building the RJ85 in Sabena livery.
  10. You were saying? :D Just kidding. Thanks everyone for the pictures. Together they give a clear picture of how it is made. Now i can make somle notes this weekend and try to figure out how to make it.
  11. thank you, those are the money shots
  12. Thank you. Gives a great picture. Found some on airliners.net too thanks to Jennings. Those pictures are saved and now some parts have to be ordered. Still a long time from now untill i start. Have 2 other projects to start and am working on 3 for the moment.
  13. Thanks, there were a few that are helpfull. Now i'm just searching for a couple pictures that show the bottom wing when flaps are deployed.
  14. I was wondering if anybody had any good pictures of the il 76 with its flaps down. I want to try and build one in the futere. Thanks in advance.
  15. Was there something wrong with AZ models TU-134? Ok, it's a bit rough and a bit of a challenge, but it seem good so far.
  16. What about a beautiful SABENA DC 10-30. went belly up in 2001 (thank you swiss air, we'll see you in court)
  17. First off, thank you for the info. Now, to show i don't know much about paint, how do i convert that to revell or humbrol, or any other easely available modelingpaint? Anyone? EDIT: OK i found that vallejo 957 converts to FS31136 wich is also pretty close. Does oneone know a store where i can order in Belgium, germany or holland?
  18. So the finished model is a OOB revell. But still, even with the shape being wrng, this one is mounted upside down, right? Now as for the price, damn that's high. 600 dollars. I enjoy this hobby also, but 600$ is more than i care to spend on one plane. I can't even bring myself to buy a 100$ one.
  19. I don't know what has been said before and what has been PM'ed, but i want to make sure and point out that the back mig (with landing gear) on the top photo has its nosecone mounted upside down. On the subject of you current build: very nice. Almost makes me wanna give up on building one myself, because it will never be as good. Just a question, with all those add-ons, isn't your model becoming very expensive?
  20. I think i should have been more clear, but i wanted to know the type of red they use.
  21. I'm going to be building a Boeing 737-300 in Virgin Express livery (i believe the color of virgin blue is the same color). Already got the decals and the kit is underway, but i was wondering what color i could best use? Any ideas?
  22. I was also thinking about a Fokker 100 in KLM colors or maybe converting one into a fokker 70. the 18th i will be visiting an airshow where there are also vendors. If i find 2 copies, i'll pick them up.
