  1. Very nice job. I really love the panel lines. But can i make a small negative comment (even if this isn't the critique corner)?

You said that you wanted to work on displaying the aircraft in flight, but there is no pilot in the cockpit.

Just a small mistake, but something that can be corrected in future builds.

Other than that, again, it's a great model and a great subject.

  2. Hi all,

I have just picked up the 1/144 Revell A320 and the BOA Agency decals... but are the purple and pink paints available anywhere? I have matched the purple as a Pantone shade, but this doesn't really help much!

    Chris

I saw a guy in Holland use "Xtracolor Helvetic Magenta" and his A320 looked good.

  3. (one way flight in the trash and about to start on another one to fix the problems i had).

Did you trow away a A380 kit? Was it that badly gone. I would have taken pictures and offered it to someone on the forum at postage price or even keep it since you are making another one and might need spares, but then again, i don't know the state it was in. Just seems like a waste.

But, back on the A350. Are there any sprue shots yet of the A350 or is this to early yet with a release date of 10/2013?

  4. that shot really makes me think it looks like a 757 for some reason.

I was thinking the same thing actually. But, i also think if you park both next to each other, the 757 would look like a baby (step) brother.

  5. I mostly like the shorter version of airliners. I prefer the Fokker 70 above the -100, the ATR42 above the 72 and the 737-700 above the -800 and -900 (except for the A340-600 which is way cooler than the -300 off course). I think the A350-800 will look perfect to me :)/>

And there is one point i have to disagree on. I prefer the A340-300 over the A340-600.

  6. It is a very beautiful plane but something is just not right or out of proportion. I think the fuselage is too long compared to the wings and engines.

The reason it looks out of proportion is because your mind tries to compare it to the 787, but keep in mind that the 787 currently made is the shortest version of the 787. The A350 -900 is the middle version. When the A350-800 comes out, it will look even better.

But I also seem to be the only person on earth who likes the appearance of the A380.

    I like it too.

  7. Damn, i live in Belgium so i could have taken care of that for you. I also will be visiting the Normandie beaches in august, so i could have helped there. I'll try and see if it is possible to mail it anyway.

I will contact our local postoffice tommorow (today is a national holiday) and see if it isn't allowed (just checking claimes).

  8. Very nice model. Seriously.

Now, for the critique part. :(

I don't feel good doing this because even on my best day, i can't build such a nice model (i never tried 1/32 before, but still).

The only point i can make to improve the Flanker just a little bit is the roundles. They look a bit to clean compared to the rest of the paintjob.

Other than that, i can't find a fault.

    Great job.

  9. It's still a bit worrisome that no one knows for sure what the root cause(s) is for the initial problem.

True. They didn't find the root cause, but did you see the proposed solution? It is redundant and personaly i'm impressed on how safe it seems (if the explanation they offer is true). If all the features they explain are working like they designed them, i'm confident that no battery fire can occur. It could still fail, but i believe it can't burn. So, well done Boeing. But i do hope that if after some time they can't come up with a lighter package, i too hope they switch to more conventional batteries. It makes more sense and is a worry less for the fleet.

Anyway, let's hope the test flights are uneventfull and that their estimate of a few weeks is correct. They have been grounden for a long 2 months now, it's time these birds fly again.
