  1. Hi everyone, I don't know how much interest there will be out there for this but thought it worth a post. This print was completed a couple of weeks ago and hopefully will do its thing for charity this year. I hope you like it. Here's the official info... The Royal Air Force 2013 Tucano Display aircraft is ZF239 based at RAF Linton–on-Ouse in North Yorkshire and will this season be flown by Flt Lt Andrew Fyvie-Rae, supported by Display Manager, Flt Lt Dave Kirby. The display this year is provided by 72 (Reserve) Squadron, which trains future fast jet aircrew for the Royal Air Force and
  2. By 'eck! I don't know how I've missed this but I'll be watching from here on! Utterly astounding work!
  3. This gets better and better every time I look! Great job so far...looking forward to more!
  4. This could get interesting... Great work - love the contrast in the green and white lighting.
  5. Dark Admiralty Grey is INCORRECT as you suspect. The cockpit is painted in FS 36231 (Dark Gull Grey), with other details in FS 36081 (Dark Grey) and matt black. Andy

    RF-5E vs F-5E

Sorry, didn't make this clear in the post...only the title. It's the cockpit I'm asking about, if anyone can help. The nose is indeed much longer and has the recce camera window beneath but I'm happy with all that. Any help or photos of the cockpit would be much appreciated though. Thanks, Andy

    RF-5E vs F-5E

Would anyone happen to know if there are any differences between the two? I presume there must be some variation due to the extra recce equipment on the RF-5E but is it a major difference? Thank you. Andy
  8. Thank for the comments everyone.
  9. Hi all, Right, enough is enough! This one's been on the work bench for longer than I care to remember. It's been at least five years but maybe longer - many models have come and gone around it in that time! As usual, I'm not 100% happy but who the hell ever is when it's your own work?! At least I can say I'm about 80% happy with this one! Anyway, time to move on now so thank you very much to everyone who's made encouraging comments and helped out during the WIP. Much appreciated. Oh, and for anyone who's bored of seeing grey jets on here...this one's a bit different...it's grey, black and w
  10. Sorry for the slow updates! Having your first child will do that to you! In the very limited time I have to model at the moment, I've got the Tornado pretty much finished - on the home straight now with the canopy detailing complete. It's now attached so I'll leave the glue to harden over night before removing the supports. In the mean time, here's a few shot of the part itself... Attaching the WSOp's sticks to the canopy frame using parts from the spares box - they're used to brace against G and fire off chaff/flares I believe but ready to stand corrected of that's wrong. I've also replicate
  11. Oh wow! This is sensational! Looks like it's shaping up to be one of the best Hornets I've ever seen. Can't wait to see this finished! Good luck with the rest of the build!
  12. Looking good! I'll watch this one with interest.
  13. That has to be one of the nicest Prowlers I've ever seen. Great work
  14. Oh wow! That is a truely superb F-14. The weathering is spot on. I really like that diorama base too as that level of realism is exceptionally difficult to capture but you've done a wonderful job. Only one small comment if you're looking for critique and that is that perhaps the cannon bay could do with just a touch more of the intricate detail that you're clearly capable of but that really is being picky because that's a top quality model. I only say that because this is in the 'Critique Corner' and that's what we're supposed to say! I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel though because it's h
  15. Love that scheme...and a great model it is too.
