  1. I stand corrected on my earlier post. The kit I saw last weekend at the local hobby shop was a Dragon Growler kit in 1:144 and not a 1:72 by Academy. This is one of those two planes in the box kits. I snagged it thinking it was a 1:72 because of the box size. Oh well. Very small, but really nice line detail. I think it's going to be fun to build. I guess we'll see how accurate it is, considering its 1:144.
  2. Doesn't Academy have a 1:72 Growler kit out?
  3. Damn! I hate when my deck hands take my yacht out without me knowing about it! :) Nice boat!

Fantastic work. I love the detail work and the subtle weathering. Great job.
  5. I read the thread(s) :) I guess my question at this point would be what do I do to get the paint somewhat right if I don't have an airbrush? I guess the infamous Raptor metallic is out. I'm hoping to get an airbrush, but it's just not in our fiscal year budget, so it's been all rattle cans for a long while now.
  6. I'll go search that thread out. Thanks!
  7. Hi Guys, I'm thinking my next project will be an F-22 in 1:72. I've heard that the Fujimi 1:72 is the best kit out right now in this scale. Other than the fact that you can adjust some of the flight surfaces, is it really a better kit than say, the Academy or Hasigawa kits? Is there one that you guys think is better? Is this a good painting plan for this plane: Paint the plane in the darker grey (Ghost grey?) first and then mask off the "splotches" using a liquid mask and then re-spray the plane in the lighter grey? I'm not sure what the correct FS numbers are for this plane, either. I'm h
  8. That is an amazing build! Great work. I love the camo.
  9. Ouch! Wow. I hope it is fixable. It looks like it was a beautiful restoration too.
  10. Horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, "Hey, why the long face?"
  11. That is a beautiful T-6. Thanks for sharing the pictures. We have a squadron of some great T-6's/Harvards at Van Nuys Airport, called The Condor Squadron. This is their website: http://condorsquadron.org/Condor_Squadron/Home.html
  12. I guess you could say they were getting Viggy with it? :)
  13. Wow. Amazing pictures. I've always heard that was a great show. On the topic of Zeros, we have one here at the Southern California Commemorative Air Force Wing: http://www.cafsocal.com/zero.htm This Zero was recovered from a wreck in New Guinea and rebuilt with parts from A6Ms in Russia and fitted with a Pratt & Whitney radial engine.
  14. Prayers to you guys. My wife is also a two time cancer survivor (Breast cancer and acute leukemia). Lord willing, this December she will be 9 years cancer free.
  15. That makes sense. I imagine the newer T-34C's, which are turbo props, would be able to power up and save it. I wonder how the older, piston engined T-34A's would do? I've always heard they were rather underpowered.
