  1. Can anyone tell me if the Italeri 1/72 UH-60 "Night Raid" kit comes with refueling probe, nose weather radar and FLIR ball? Thanks Greg
  2. Hi everyone This is Italeri's 1/48 Sioux, which I have built for my father who served with 161 Recce Flt during the Vietnam War. Decals from 'Hawkeye', MG from spares box, aerials made from wire and seat belts are paper strips. I plan to mount it on PSP on a small base. Cheers Greg
  3. Top job. Some great modelling skills there!
  4. An interesting looking beast. Well done, it looks great!
  5. Thanks very much. The kit wasn't too bad actually. Like many Trumpeter kits, there are a couple of inaccuracies and the odd ill-fitting part, but overall not a bad kit. Especially for the price. I only paid $10 for this one :D
  6. That looks fantastic. Beautifully detailed and very nice work on the camo. Although.....you posted it in the 'Armour' forum :smiley-transport023:/>/> Don't feel too bad though, as I've done it before too :rolleyes:/>
  7. Hi everyone I have built Trumpeter's USMC M1A1HA Abrams to depict two (2) different vehicles. The first one is Platoon Commander, 2nd Platoon, C Company, 2nd Marine Battalion, 1st Marine Division. This tank operated in Bagdad as part of OIF. For this one I used Echelon Decals (ammo box decals from ACM). The second one has been dressed in NATO camo scheme. The smoke dischargers were the spares from the Dragon M1A2 SEP kit (my next project) and stowage items were from my spares box. I have recently ordered a stowage set so I can add few more items. This is my first real attempt at using paint
  8. Thanks very much for your generous comments guys..
  9. Nice work mate. Terrific job on the camo too..
  10. Hi everyone I'm looking for a Missile Countermeasure Device (MCD), which is an optional part in the Tamiya M1A2 kit. If you have one that you don't need please contact me. Thanks Greg
  11. Hi everyone This is Trumpeter's USMC M1A1HA Abrams with mine plow, which I have built to depict a tank from B Company, 1st Marine Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division. This tank operated in Bagdad as part of OIF. Built OOB with stowage items from spares box and Echelon decals (ammo box decals from ACM). The CIPs were pilfered from Trumpeter's 'M1A1HA Abrams' kit. I took some of the photos outside and some inside on a sheet of cardboard covered with dirt, however I plan to build a proper display base for it soon. Also, it doesn’t look as dirty and some of the decals look a bit silvered in th
  12. I like that a lot. Well done, everything about it looks great. I've been toying with the idea of building something similar and this has really inspired me.
  13. Very nice. Love the dio too, it really brings it to life. Subtle weathering looks great too...
  14. I like that a lot. A lovely clean build....would look great all dirtied up :D
  15. I've seen plenty of gear stored in the racks as well, including cartons of water, coke etc. The Aussies had the right idea by requesting a fridge / cooler box be installed on the M1s we brought off the US ; )
  16. That looks fantastic Andrew. I love the paint chipping effects....something I'm yet to master.
  17. Gee thanks a lot fellas. I have learned a lot from many of you guys here. My next project will be an M1A1 HA with mine plow, which I will be painting in the sand coloured scheme, however next time I do an armour build in camo, I'll create a build thread. Now that I know how to make the camo netting I also plan to go back and fit out a couple of my previous builds. I'll post a few photos and details to show how I do it. Thanks again Greg
