  1. Google found this page, which appears to be what Amazon is selling.
  2. FWIW, Model Maker Decals has a sheet, Polish Messerschmitts. Unfortunately, the markings are for a G-14AS, E3, F2, and F4.
  3. Sorry I can't help, it's been a long time since I lived in the area. Having written that, NYC is an awfully big place! Some guidance on where you'll be would be helpful to somebody that can provide authoritative info. Given your question, I would guess you're visiting Manhattan. Back in the day, Polk's Hobbies and America's Hobby Center were big well-stocked places in Manhattan, but, well, they're long gone now...
  4. I was 12; I vividly recall the major events. Watching and listening to Apollo In Real Time has brought me right back to that time--gave me chills. My grandmother, bless her soul, agreed with your grandfather. She was a teenager when the Wright brothers flew. To think she saw aviation develop from the first flight to the first moon landing is wonderous to me! My then future wife was in Poland. She was somehow able to watch the moon landing on TV, and apparently said that's what she wanted to when she grew up. People around her thought that was cute, but... Well, her pare
  5. @aircommando130, did you dad work for Grumman? I worked at Grumman in the 80s, well past the glory days of the LEM. Less than 1h to "One small step..." (02:56:15Z).
  6. Approximately 6 hours to landing! Here's the entire timeline: https://history.nasa.gov/SP-4029/Apollo_11i_Timeline.htm
  7. CA works great for edge bonds. You might also some structure to an edge bond between brass and plastic or resin. For example, you might be able to drill a hole or cut a slot into the plastic or resin so you can mount the brass in the hole/slot before gluing. You can put the part into position and then apply glue using a CA glue applicator such as this or this. A slot or hole also enables better alignment rather than just trying to get the brass to stand up by itself. Use an acrylic glue, like Gator's Grip or Formula 560 Canopy Glue for surface bonds. The reason is that brass and p
  8. There's a web site, https://apolloinrealtime.org/11/, that has a fabulous display of what was happening 50 years ago, in real time.
  9. Does look like that... The photo above looks like his booster seat needs adjustment.
  10. Cool! Don't forget, youse almost got Iran's F-14's in 1979. The exfiltration of the US Embassy personnel hiding in the Ambassador Taylor's residence killed the deal...
  11. That's awesome! I hope you'll post pix and vids of the launch!!!
  12. It's OK now,. 1129 PT, July 8
  13. Those wings look great! I hope they stand up to creep; the kit's wings didn't. I assume the MCW paints are lacquer. Yes? If so, I've been very happy with the fabulous finishes I get from Mr Color. As you note, quite smooth, with no need for a glossy clear coat prior to decals.
  14. Nice! Were the hand-holds also 3D printed? They look great, too.
  15. That's some fine detail! Did you design the model? One the one hand, it looks like a primed and painted finish. On the other hand, I don't see any color variation around the top details, making me think that's the part as-is.
  16. @southwestforests, that's the one! It is entertaining. Well I think so.
