  1. I got this and I am very happy with it. It is as loud as your refrigerator. Silent Compressor
  2. I am very happy with the compressor. The only issue that bothers me is the loud sound when the air is being released. My compressor is placed next to the spray booth and when I concentrate too much on the painting that noise scares the hell out of me. I wonder if there is any way to lower/mute the volume of this air sound. Other than that it is a great deal for the money.
  3. Vallejo primer is sand-able if you coat model with future on top of the primer (I tried this before). I just read in Fine Scale Modeler that you can add Future to the primer. I believe that this will get the same effect but I have not tried this yet. I was not too happy with the gloss clear coat. It was not that shiny and it was still sticky after few days. Maybe I was doing something wrong. I decided to over coat Vallejo gloss clear with the Future and I am happy now. I tried few metal colors and I really like them. No nasty smell (happy family).
  4. I have received the compressor today, however it came in damaged. The plastic window on the side was completely broken and oil spilled all over the bottom of the compressor and the box. I need to return it and get the replacement. I have send the message to the seller and I waiting for the response.
  5. Ok. I pulled the trigger and ordered one on ebay.
  6. Thank you very much zeus60! Please let us know if there are any issues once you test it with the airbrush.
  7. Please let me know how good or bad it is. I am very curious.
  8. Did anyone ever bought a used air compressor from ebay? I was thinking about getting a used Silentaire Super Silent 20A. The new ones are very expensive. I worry about any potential problems with the used one including proper packing for shipping since it is very heavy. Any thoughts or experience in this matter? Have anyone used this knockoff Silentaire? Best Quality 1/2 HP PRO Silent Air Compressor with OIL "Italy" 2 liter tank
  9. That is where I ordered it from. On top of that American Express gave me an offer of $15 back when ordering from Amazon as long as it is $60 or more. I could not ask for a better deal.
  10. Thank you for all the replies. MoFo the double tapered needle is my issue with 105. Sometimes I can handle it better, however more times it is just annoying to go so fast from little paint to too much paint in the matter of small finger shake. Other than this I am very happy with the 105. I debated and I went with Iwata simply because it costs the same as Badger Krome (Imported from Japan). I think it will fit my small hands better. I will still use my 105 for clear coats and some other applications.
  11. I have a Badger 105 Patriot and I am fairly satisfied with it. However I still have trigger control problems where I get from no paint to too much paint. Therefore I was wondering that it might be the time to upgrade my airbrush. I was thinking about Iwata HP-C Plus and Badger Krome. I would like to know what is your experience with those two, what are cons and pros compared to 105 from the people that used them. I would not want to upgrade if the upgrade wont give me more trigger control.
  12. Hi. I can't speak of a accuracy of the SMER kit, however it was not bad to build. Not a lot of sanding and filling. I have used Model Maker decals.
