  1. Inside was painted indeed. I didn't have any led on stock so decided to paint the inside. Was better then leaving the inside light imo.. But i will never know :) :) Maybe i will build another Ga;actica and then we'll see what i will do. Perhaps add some lighting.
  2. Hi Mark, tnx for the compliments m8. I really love the result. Can't stop looking at it. The engine exhausts were painted Panzer Grey but that didn't look good imo. Just looked like they weren't attached to the Galactica. So i dry-brushed them with Vallejo Steel and this looked a lot better.. Just like they where pulled into the ship. If you know what i mean.. :) Here are some pics.
  3. Hello ARC i just finished my Galactica. Applied the kits decals and added some more so imo it looked just a bit better. Colors used are Vallejo German Panzer Grey primer and Vallejo Steel.. First i applied the grey primer and then painted some of the panels on the front of the ship. The rest of the hull was done by misting the Vallejo Steel to it. Then i misted the grey primer all over the ship to darken the colors a bit. I didn't use a drybrush on the weapons array because i didn't want them to be to obvious. Still have to aplly a varnish but am not sure if i should use a gloss or mat
  4. No problem here.. And WOW great work so far...
  5. Wow, great build ....... Makes me want to start building my own Star Wars models....... May the force be with you.....
  6. Starscream has a pilot that is a holographic projection... Thats my guess... :)
  7. Wow, looks good. I am also looking for some pics of Starscream.. Is it possible for you to mail me a copy of the pics made by your friend?? That would really help me. The pics i could find were not from directly above the Raptor.
  8. Hmmmm.. Sorry to dig this up after 5 years. but.. http://ipmsphilippines.com/test-shots/special-announcement-trumpeter-132-a-6-intruder-kit-status/
  9. My first guess would be underspray. Second: clear coat after removing the tape :)
  10. @Hero Ma,Tnx for the comment.. the Vallejo Gun Metal was applied with a brush. The other colors, Aluminum, Steel and camo are all done with an airbrush. I have only used Vallejo and in my experience it is great, no smell at all.. So no more problems with astma for me... I use the complete Vallejo Air line.. Greetz Jim
  11. Finally had the time to finish this build. The ordnance was painted and glued to the model using CA glue. The pitottube and other recepticals where added and the plane is now DONE Nozzles painted with Gun metal and some detail added with the same color .. I hope you guys like it. I certainly do!! :P
  12. Nice sharp cuts you made there.. What sort of saw did you use? I am still searching for one myself..
  13. Hi Remy, good to see you here.. How are you doing? The painscheme will stay like it is . It was just a test for now. I think it's ok like it is now.. The next Flanker (yours) will be more in the greyscale i think. BTW, did you see my A-10 as well?
  14. And this is the plane at the moment. I am going to make some damage to one (or both) motor pylon and to the wings, maybe weld some extra plating on it. Just to give it some battle scars..
  15. Ok, just to show what i have been working on as well. The A-10 was finished an couple of months ago but was reopened after i had some inspiration on another forum i am attending. The idea was to make some decals of my own, just because i dont really like to use the US/RU/DL/BE or whatever country flag there is. So i started thinking about Mad Max and that sort of films. The idea was born.. Realisation is now in progress.. I gave the plane a real (TOO) heavy wash. This is the plane i want it to look like when finished. Here are some pics of how it was built before i wanted to weather
