  1. My condolences to his family, squadron mates, and those who knew him well. The inter-service rivalries be hanged, this is about honoring a brother who gave it all, that is a part of the family known as the US Armed Forces, and as with all families the living mourn those lost. I felt closeness, and pride not experienced before; when the Snowbirds did their "missing man" flyover to honor Capt. Kuss. I believe some of other AD teams will respond in a similar fashion.
  2. You ain't that OLD!!!...hoo u kiddin......I know Phantoms and Crusaders got to some long legs given the 3 gasbags...but even the southern route makes for some added stops...and still those are some lonnnnnnnnnnnnng legs. Haaaaanger Queeeeeen..... , one in every unit.
  3. Ssssssssssssswweeeeeeeeeet!!!!.......what's next?
  4. Very nice, I can say I think ol' Gus would go-pher (Awww c'mon ya know somebody was gonna say it )that, outstanding in all phases. The weathering makes it look like a well worn, well used, battle tested kick arse bent wing beauty.
  5. Ok guys, lets pool our monies we've been saving for that next super kit that comes out, and buy this beauty RAF Tonka for sale it says fully restored, so why do the say it would be a great gate guard?....if it's fully restored whoever buys it would surely want it to fly..hint they don't tell ya how much; kinda, sorta, maybe like if ya gotta ask how much, you can't afford it...like me . Shall we make them an offer or bid like they did in "Paint your wagon"
  6. Looks are deceiving' I've let mine sit since I made the OP, and it finally hardened...it filled the gap OK, but I'm not gonna recommend folks using it, as it took too long entirely harden; maybe when used to glue things like broken handles on ceramic dishes, etc it might be just what the doctor ordered, but for modeling I say stick with the old reliables, the regular formula CA's and zip kicker, now to see it it'll sand after so long
  7. The fact that both pilots made it out and settled back to Terra Firma via the silk elevator makes this a lot easier to discuss, thank the good Lord for that; another good take from this is that the latest accident occurred over a military range, lessening the chance for civilian casualties at the crash sites . It seems for those who've been around long enough, that an old belief (superstition for some) is holding it's own against the folks who don't adhere to it, and say it's all rubbish. That old belief is that crashes come in threes, well like it was said it's been a bad week for Hornets a
  8. This is G. Wilson, more commonly known as Geedubelyer....and if there is a better modeler on this planet....show me!!!!.
  9. A day the world should remember for the high price paid to make it successful. The beginning of the end for one of the most horrific empires ever known, had "IKE" waited who knows how the world would be today. Adolph and cronies dreamed of a 1,000 years of existence, well the fell kinda short by almost a millennium. It's a bit disgruntling, when someone talks about the "greatest" generation, it seems that they're thinking American..I'd like to think that group should include the Brits, French, Norwegian, Chinese..all who had underground fighters, Guerilla fighters and just plain guts to stand
  10. I've a question I'd love to do a Jag kit, so has KH made any changes to the molds to address the probs shown in this build?
  11. Another great American has exited the stage....An American icon, a player on the world stage, activist, openly spoke out and was the outlet thru which many people had a voice, that others listened to. I guess he was a rebel with many causes. He was entertaining to those sports fans who loved boxing, and those who were casual fans; his history is well known, many say they lived thru the history that was America in the 60's and 70's as did I, but this man was/is history. Godspeed Mr Ali (Cassius Clay) may you rest in eternal peace, and my condolences to your Family, close friends, and those who
  12. I've not used any yet, but if Fightertown is willing to sell GFactor gear on their website....it's cause for me to believe it's gotta be real good!!!.
  13. This is my first time seeing this painting, and honestly it most accurately reflects my feelings and emotions the first time I went to see the traveling Vietnam Memorial wall.
  14. I believe this is the thread you are looking for Scale Rivets n stuff scroll down to post/reply #44, that's where the Sway braces are ;) .

  16. dayum....you pulled a G. Wilson...very hard to tell the model from a real Viper...the first pix had me thinking OK this is the real dead used for comparison
  17. People who make statements like that, usually don't know WTH they are talking about, he should go out buy one of Tamiya's WWII 32nd scale kits, and finish it in a manner demanded by the intricacy of the kit, after he's binned it, or told someone he didn't have the time...we would know he's just not capable and isn't good enough to even polish your shoes.
  18. The best news possible is that all four aircrew are alive....

    A-10 Loads

I know a few elephants buying tickets outta town!!!.....
  20. Tamiya's F-14A kit is probably the best, but be prepared to ask for a second mortgage. Revell has one probably won't be up to Tamiya standards, and Trumpy has one, but check the threads it has issues you may not want to deal with. The ARC main page gallery has finished kits that have builder insight...which should help. IIRC Trumpys mad riveter went nvtz on their kit.
  21. Thank God the crew all got out.....aircraft can be replaced....lost crews are another matter.
  22. RHIP............even with the 90 day wonders <_< .
  23. My God!!...the only Mustang missing from this herd is Hidalgo.....if I wait he may show up too!...and they all look excellent..   :D
  24. Sorry I'm late, but this has SCAM all over it, I would delete it and run a system scan for any nefarious files that may have came with it. This may sound a bit like overkill, but better safe than....a lot of swearing and problems later. Never have I heard of anyone requesting any card info; if they have the first 12 numbers it simple to just have their system run the gauntlet of numbers from 0000 thru 9999 until they get a hit and look out for any one whose number is legit. I'm of the mindset there is never too much caution.
