  1. Cag_200 thank you for the tip, my biggest work is the type of clear plastic its made of, its not like the clear plastic that new kits come with, really foggy and not truly clear. I will give it a try and hope for the best. Cheers!
  2. Hello, Currently working on an AirFix 1/72 B-17G. This model just guessing is probably 40 years old. The clear pieces are not so clear. Has anyone restored vintage clear pieces to make them more clear and has it worked? I'm open to any ideas and input. Thank you
  3. Great job so far!!! I am amazed with your skills!! Keep the updates coming. Ben
  4. Well as I said in an earlier post about the Field full of Phantoms coming to and end, It looks like the end is near as announced this morning. See link for details. https://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=28882919&nid=148&title=hill-aerospace-museum-to-cut-18-aircraft-3-missiles-from-collection&fm=home_page&s_cid=queue-2
  5. If there is Air leaking out of the unloader on the pressure switch you have a bad check valve, The check valve is that brass part that the little 1/4" copper line that runs off the Pressure switch and connects to down on the tank. The check valve is a one way valve and is spring loaded and will normally shut when the air stops from the pump and if it goes bad the air will push back through the valve out of the tank and continue to leak out till the tank is empty. As far as the motor or capacitor smoking? I believe it has nothing to do with the leaking air but not saying you also don't maybe h
  6. YF-12A 60-6934 which was later converted into SR-71C 61-7981 after a fire is on display at Hill Air force base and is inside. I didn't see it on your list here. Ben
  7. Great shots of the old gals, I'm a working volunteer at the Hill Museum and visit these birds frequently, sadly enough the two white birds the Rf-4 & F-4E will not be restored due to lack of funds and also Wright-Pat says the museum has too many Phantoms in the collection, The museum is working very hard trying to find them homes and prevent them ending up on the bombing range.
  8. Interesting.. Thanks for the help Itch
  9. Stumbled across this picture from a F-4 Phantom Facebook group and now I am very curious and would like to know more? So any help is appreciated thanks. Ben :rolleyes:/>/> Oh and yes! Spelling genius on the title. Better to review before posting my bad.
