  1. Really outstanding! Spot on weathering and a really nice build!
  2. Wow! Very nice! I just finished up a F-15DJ aggressor scheme a while ago. There are a bunch of really wicked paint jobs on these JASDF's. I just don't know which one to do next? They're all so kick ***! Really nice work! I have these decals from TwoBobs in the blue checker scheme. Is that what you used?
  3. I'm thinking about doing a USN f-16a. I know the adversary F-16 from 2002 on are A model Block 15's. The question is what details may be out of the ordinary for the standard block 15 features? I have quite a few photos, but I can't tell if any reinforcement plates or other whatever were added. Any help would be great.
  4. Thanks guys! Now I just have to decide which other JASDF aggressor to do next. Such great schemes.
  5. That's fantastic! Love the stinger decals! All the detail!
  6. Gloss enamel takes a long time to fully dry. I would have had to wait days instead of hours to sand between coats. The base coat of flat enamel was really a primer for the acrylic. The flat acrylic dries so fast when airbrushed I could prep for another coat in less then an hour. As far as the flat being better then gloss for the move to the future coats...I guess yes, and no. If you prepped the gloss with light whet sanding the future should go down the same. The future can run and sag more easily on the gloss coat (may be surface tension qualities?), but no more then a too heavy recoat on top
  7. The decals are Cartograf SPA. Very thin and opaque. The details and build are here My link
  8. Finally took the finished photos. On to the display case. My link
  9. Here's a few more pics. I just noticed I forgot to do the landing lights.
  10. Hasegawa kit P 21 F-15E Dual Role Fighter. Kit is really a F-15D With conformal tanks. Could be made up as the prototype F-15E though. Anyway, DXM decals for the #091 in '08.
  11. This kit was the P 21 F-15E (not really a strike eagle) Hasegawa. Picked it up really cheap. Use care with the DXM decals. They are really thin and don't silver, but really delicate. The wax paper they provided worked best (shiny side) after a brief soak. Adsorbent tissue was worse, did not help things. A soak longer then 10 sec helped the decals slide off better, but then they disintegrated all too easy.
  12. Disaster struck! I was lightly sanding a run in the future clear coat on the F-15A and I bobbled it. Hit the floor and the left wing broke off. Not a very clean break, pretty jagged. Not sure if I can fix it or not. It sucks when you get this far then screw things up! Well, to get my frustration behind me I dove into getting the F-15DJ done with a vengeance. Just a few minor details to touch up. Pretty much done!
