  1. The pícs of the real thing are the proof your build is almost perfect! only small "flaws" to notice it's been hand made and not machined! way to go Chuck, respect!!!!
  2. A real class of masterful skills and awesome modeling techniques! glad to have seen it all from the beginning but getting a bit sad there won't be updates anymore! A big congrats on such a painfull kit, once done you male it look doable! people have to be aware of the level of will, time and mostly skills needed to be done this way. Thank you Chuck for taking the time to explain us newbies how you do your work! I've learned so much during this build!
  3. Chuck now that you talk about the photography, one thing that has helped me before is to step far from the model and use a bigger lens, I'm no expert but it's worked for me before, if you step back and zoom in you'll get an easier angle and better "fitting" of the model inside the picture, I'm not familiar with your photography equipment but I think it wouldn't be much of a problem for you to get your hands on another lens for this particular case, I've used the only alternative I have which is a 70-300, maybe someone with more knowledge could say something better or say I'm wrong! anyway just
  4. It keeps getting hard to find the right original words to expres how awesome your job is Chuck!

  16. And after wathcing Chuck work his magic on the pylons I tried to make a small effort to add a bit more of detail
  17. After spending some hours not knowing what to do, I decided to get into riveting, this model has some of them but not enough so I started digging some more Then it was time to close the fuselage with some of the guts inside A constant in my builds are broken pitot tubes, so this time I'm gonna try something new, and a bit of work on the front camera
  18. Awesome build and photography!! congratulatiosns on those two beautiful Rafales
  19. Really nice build! the paint job is going great! but nothing beats you family! you're a lucky guy indeed! Don't you thing after the clear cotes the fading is going to fade away? or you're planning on doing it more strong?
  20. Well this build's proven thatt things look way easier than they really are! I got my jands on two resine seats from Verlinden and I'm impressed of the level of detail! no wonder why some of you stuck as much as possible! this is my intent to render them to life at least a bit! This is how the cockpit is looking so far, everythings dry fitted and, in my book, looks ok!
  21. Allright guys. I've been waiting an gathering "kwowdledge" to tackle scratch building, but if I keep waiting to feel confortable I'm gonna get old and won't do it, so After watching ZAgocs' phantom I decided to give it a try. Please keep in mind a couple of things, most of the time I do what I can with what I have on hand the closest hobby stor is 200 Kms away and I'm on a small budget, accuracy, for now, is not the main target at least as long as scratch building is concerned, in this case. Bear with me on this first attemp to add some "life" to a model for the first time. I've chosen the 1
  22. Thnx for taking the time to look at my Hikotai Phantom! but helas! I saw your build after finishing that one! I'm working on a RF-4E Phantom and it's there where I'm using your tips! I'll open a thread shortly to show what I'm doing, and I'd be more than thankful to have your appreciation at the amateur job I'm doing there! No need to tell you I'm looking forward for that A-10 build!
  23. Outstanding build! you inspired me to do a lot of stuff, I correct you inspired me to try!,on my build. And my phantom is going great! yours is not on the same league! Thanks for taking the time to show your progress so we can learn!
