  1. Since English is not my language It gets really hard to say something different than wow! I'm looking forward to see the painting process cause, if It keeps going as to present, I'm gonna learn lots!!! Thanks for posting you work Chuck and more for taking the time to explain it! so we can see it's possible!
  2. Absolutely stunning!! it looks so real! great job! Would you have a tutorial on how to achieve a paint job such as yours? I would definately give it a try or two! Respect to an awesome job!!!!!
  3. Those rusted discs are awesome, how do you do them? newbie question but I really have no idea!
  4. Wow stunning work! I can only wish to work that clean!
  5. Wow Oliver! you're just starting and I'm already out of words!, I'm getting ready for another quiet thread!! please don't take two years to finish it!! so I can learn a couple of tricks while you're at it!
  6. Another one helluva trick!! do you think it could work for 1/48 models? If I got it right, sanding it a bit further would take me to the right grit, isn't it?
  7. The declas come from the hasegawa box except for te J's and tail numbers. Weathering's been made by adding post light shading with enamels of every color airbrushed over. After that just a wash using black pastel chalk powder with water. On top of stabilizers there is a fox, i'll post a closer pic of it once I get to my compiter
  8. Thanks Steve, being my second 1/72 model I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I love what-if projects, actually I love colorfull planes most of the times being what-if's if I have to shoose between a one color plane I'll look for a what-if! Glad you like it
  9. Declas are straight out of the box. Kinda cartoonish look but that's ehat I had
  10. Yeah all the paint work was freehanded, I just don't like hard borders on camos, glad you like it!!
  11. The model is done! you can see the rest of the pictures here Pics this time didn't come out as I wanted but I had to use a different camera ..... Comments will be wellcome
  12. This is my approach to a winter camo A-10, What-if for me, but I just knew A-10's in Alaska flew with a scheme like this one! Anyway I rescribed panel lines and did ribets the rest is OOB. Hope you like it and comments are wellcome, BTW the odd markings and numbers are there for a reason :coolio:/> it's been built for a very good friend of mine and he wanted them to be there!
  13. most of them are Hasegawa from its box, the J's i'm not sure where they come from, they were just there with a bunch of cut decals. Thnx for the kind words
  14. Some of the decals are on, the "JJ" marks are my friend's initials, so try just not to look at them too much hehe
  15. I have to say that I didn't come up with that camo out of my head, I found this thread http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=32954 and found it awesome! as it actually is, I try to make my models a bit different from the one toned ones, which I find kinda dull, no offense please is just my opinnion, I can sure appreciate a one color model, but for me, I try to avoid them, I love what-ifs and this one is a special one!
  16. Thank you Sir! I'm sure I'll get better, that's the idea! and following outstanding modellers such as yourself it couldn't be otherwise!
  17. Lol I had to clarify the "without make up" thing, cause being so close to Chuck's comparing would be inevitable, and let's be honnest, this one looks like a joke compared to the other one!! Thnx for your comments
  18. I did a bit of post lighning to give the paint that faded look, or at least I tried! running away from that "toy" like look
  19. I really ike reading your threads Chuck! not just because of the awesome work you do, but because you always have something usefull to say! I've learned from your last two builds more than I have learned the last three years! keep helping us "small" modellers cause that ispiration is helping a lot! at least with me it works wonders
  20. Since I couldn't do much more, it was quickly ready for paint The pilot was painted the way my pal wanted, it ended up having kinda of a "rasta" look Goofing around a little some dreadlocks were added, just for fun cause I don't think they will stay there
  21. Yes is the Hasegawa 1/72, this is going to my second model on that scale, and as I said, my first time rescribing, I couldn't find the right thick kind of tape needed to do that so I has to use what I had on hand! Not so bad for a first time IMHO!
  22. I was kinda loosing interest in my other build so I decided to change model, A friend of mine had bought this little kit, so i was comissioned to build it, this is gonna sport a what-if winter camo, and for the first time I'm gonna venture with rescribing panel lines and add some ribets, if you have seen my builds you already know I'm not that careful with accuracy. This friend asked for some specifics, such as, jamaican colors on pilot's helmet, 4-20 number on the tail and a full load of weapons, since I usually build 1/48 I don't have parts left, I managed to get a pilot from a friend caus
  23. AWESOME!!! I've been following this build since a long time, and as I said before, I ran out of words to express how great of build this is!! :worship: Job well done Oliver!!! What's next?
  24. I ran out of superlatives a long time ago with this build Oliver! what you do is special to say the least
