I use the future pool method and hot water as well but on these decals they were still not cooperating. I'm just going to scratch these decals until I can get some decal set solution and use the kit decals in the meantime

How do you guys deal with overly thick decals. I am working on an F-15 with 2 bobs decals and these things no matter what I do will not conform. I have used warm water with Future to set them and I cannot get these decals to set into panel lines. Normally with this same approach I have not had any problems but these decals are giving me a headache. What else can I do besides buy decal set solution.

Curious as to where you got the stencils or how you made them. Great looking 53 I need to get mine out and finish it as well. Nice looking build.

Wow that is truly an accident I would love to happen to me. I have been trying to pull off the bleached look for years and you managed to do it accidentally over night. I think the paint looks great. Now to back track over your post so I can copy it and try it for myself. I have never used oils though so I guess its time for me to start experimenting.

I am only looking for external tanks and the props, for ether the H or J model. Props from the J model can actually come from the 1/48th E2-Hawkeye kit. I have an entire AC-130 Interior including guns cannons rays and everything oe needs to convert to an AC-130 what ever. Bell is here doing hot weathering testing on the small missile launchers on the nose of the plane. This plane looks badass. Im not sure if they were going for a tribal design but to me it looks hella cool. If I build one of these things It will look like this. I asked for a patch but I guess Bell doesn't what to deal with them so I got shafted. They at least let me get a pic of it for my own stash.

I am looking for C-130H or C-130J model Props and external tanks. I have almost the complete interior and props for an AC-130A Gun Ship I am willing to trade as well as landing gear and things I wont be using for this AC-130. I am converting it to a KC-130 and need the parts for the conversion. I was trying to post this earlier but my phone wasn't cooperating with me. From what I heard the T-59 came in to land as normal and suddenly lost power. The pilot tried to throttle up but never gained control of the aircraft. The plane hit the runway sideways on the port side and sheared the wing off. The plane slid about 600 feet before coming to rest. The wing that got separated from the plane smashed into a truck parked across the runway at the hold short line. Did anyone notice the SR-71's D-21 Drones in the top left of the graveyard. I never knew they were there before. I have used Google Earth many of times and never noticed them. Never thought they would be there. But then again they have an SR-71 in the Museum.

+ ^ what Joel said. I know it was going to be big but looking at the nacel in your hand compared to my 1/144 that thing is a monster. Christ whats the wing span on the thing. Has to be about 2 foot 6 across. I just did calculations and yup It's Big. Great job so far more talent than I have by far. Can't wait for more updates.

Here for training for another 2 weeks or so. They have been here for a month already. Even more impressive is the female pilot behind the controls. Not sure what the crews names are but stand up guys and gals.

I think the F-35 is flying again. Last years demo went south and sucked because I found out that the concrete under where they hover on Delta taxiway was insufficient for them to land on. I.e the concrete couldn't withstand the heat. I actually have watched them do hover and short landing many times its really cool. That area has since been upgraded so I am pretty sure they will do a hover landing at least. I actually was so busy at work today I forgot to make a copy of the schedule for the airshow but as Djack posted you can find it online.

Figured Id'e give an Idea of what aircraft will be here this year. A-10 F-16 F-18 AV-8B F-35B C-17 C-5M PYB-4 among others. I will have a better update tomorrow. Is there anyone coming? would be great to meat people.
