  1. Hello, I am putting together the Revell 1/32 Tornado GR 1 using the Aires cockpit. I've been studying the Aires instructions which for the most part are self explanatory for building the photo etch harness on the MB Mk 10 seat, but I can't for the life of me work out how to feed the main shoulder harnesses (the longest length of Photo Etch harness strap)through the buckles half way up the seat after they feed through the curved clasp at the bottom and run back up to the large buckle. Any idea how to feed this strap would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I don't have a picture to further exp
  2. Hi Dave, Thank you. I saw some of these online, but this collection is very helpful.
  3. Hello all, I am starting this kit and am a little confused as the the interior cabin and cockpit colors. I intend to build the German Navy one with the Lynx painted along the side of the fuselage and tail. I looked over the internet and there seems to be varying colors used for the floor, seats, instrument panel, ect for different aircraft and navies. If any of you have built this model, or can shed some light on the colors that would best suit this version, Id appreciate it. I intend to use either Model Master or Tamiya paints. Cheers,
  4. Hi Harald, I just saw you question on window decals. from September. I know this is a late responce, but I agree with the Flying Colors. I think they are superb. Here is my effort with Revell 747-400. The FC decals were certainly easier to use than the Brasil decals!! Cheers, Jarrod
  5. Can't wait to see these decals. Does anyone make the new winglets? Also, the WIFI antenna hump?
  6. Hi Ben, Very nice models. Here's a 1/144 scale P3-C I built for a friend that flew this aircraft. It's not overly clear, but the Prop-Blur is worth the effort(actually very easy to use). I built it to show long range patrol configuration with number 1 and 4 shut down, and feathered. Cheers, Jarrod
  7. Hi David, Thanks for posting this. Do you have a list of what you have? Are you wanting to get rid of everything in one go, or can we pick and choose? I am in the US, but usually come up to Winnipeg about March or April. I have a customer there who may be able to pick them up/meet you somewhere. I'd have to ask him of course. Look forward to seeing a list if you have one. Cheers, Jarrod
  8. Hi, I saw this on Lucky Models website: http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=RE%2004207 It does say "discontinue", but I don't know if it means it has been, or is in the process of being discontinued. Good luck. Jarrod
  9. Hi PT, I think Minicraft did this one, or something similar. From what I've heard it was an ex Ansett Australia Aircraft, and their equipment was usually kept nice. Cheers, Jarrod
  10. I saw the GE engines at Wheels and Wings Hobby Shop a couple of weeks ago, when I picked up the Contrails Wedgetail set. They look nice. Do the pylons fit into the wing without too much trouble? In the bag they looked like they should. Jarrod
  11. G'day Mike, Thanks for the info. This is how we all had to do it a few years ago when there wasn't any aftermarket. Well done on your build and reshaping the nose. Looks great. This is similar to how I shaped the poorly done Revell 747-400, although I wasn't as enterprising as you with the picture cut outs. Cheers, Jarrod
  12. Hi Where in New York are you. If anywhere near Buffalo, Wheels and Wing hobby shop in Toronto has all the Contrails resin. Bit of a drive, but that place is well worth a visit. For tire black, I just mix black and grey until I'm happy with the color. Hope this helps. You actually taught me something! I didn't know Testors steel was a good corogard match. Cheers, Jarrod
  13. Hi guys, Thank you very much for the great insight. I just dug out one of my 777's and taped it together. I can see from your pictures, Bob, how bad the Minicrap really is. I will definitely spring for a contrails nose and engines. Anyone used the undercarriage and bay detail set? Thanks again for your efforts to show me the nose shape, and the advise. Best regards, Jarrod
  14. Hi all, I haven't pulled out my Minicraft 777 for a while, but at some point I'd like to do a Virgin Australia -300 using the Contrails additions. My wife and I fly on these when we go back home to Oz for visits. I will most likely use the corrected nose, but I wanted to find out from those of you that have built this kit and used the corrected nose, what is wrong with the kit nose shape. I'm sure as soon as I get the corrected nose I'd see, but interested in the mean time. I'm about due to do another airliner soon, but I'm trying to prioritise finishing my 1/350 Titanic!! Cheers, Jarrod
  15. Hi Ray, I'm always very impressed with your selection, and nice to use decals. I was interested at some point to get your Qantas A380 decals. This may be a silly question, and something you've addressed previously, but can you please tell me how opaque the white Kangaroo is over the red tail. I used Brasil decals for the Wunala Dreaming and the red bled through, especialyy after I applied decal softener. Cheers, Jarrod
