  1. That looks amazing. You took a simple model and came out with an amazing recreation. I love the Harrier.
  2. Good catch. You are probably right. I think I can see two silver rocket tips poking out of the probable LAU-3 pod. Another point of confusion the white band between the inner most pylons and the fuselage.. right in the gun pack area. The white band is confusing because it looks like the aircraft has wrap-around camouflage.
  3. Oh that's cool. Is there risk of using these on plastics?
  4. I am using wordpress because of a class I am taking. I recommend it because you can really do a lot with it. I have some basic instructions to get started if you would want them... It's a nice option for free.
  5. you can always use a thin brush to tidy the decal up
  6. Or maybe you should just start by modifying a Trabant! You could go from: To: Thanks democracy!
  7. This will be used to explain how the Griswolds end up in East Saint Louis whenever Nat Lampoon's Vacay is remade
  8. Comes from a Brazillian site.... lemme try out my Portuguese skills to see what it says..... http://sistemasdearmas.com.br/ca/casods4aeronaves.html "O canhão GAU-12 de 25mm com 300 tiros era disparado com muita frequência. Era usado para supressão de artilharia antiaérea durante os mergulhos. Era disparado geralmente antes das bombas. Não tinha muita precisão, mas esperavam que manteria as tropas em terra de cabeça baixa. A maioria disparava quase sempre, em rajadas de 100 tiros, e até os 300 tiros de uma vez só. Outra opção é o primeiro a disparar antes de outro mergulhando logo atrás disp
  9. It came from this website ( http://www.bevfitchett.us/machine-gun-v5/info-rkj.html ) but the text isn't descriptive and it's poorly written, so no info from there :( Thanks though
  10. Just wait until you're looking for your exit one night and ads start popping up on your windshield. Digital Integration: complete.
  11. Not sure what's under the wings. Reminds me of the old Mk12 gunpods the Navy used to use. Are those flashes just from the regular GAU-12 gunpack?
  12. That looks fantastic. You did well breaking up the monotony of the greys. Just noticed the fuel tanks are 2 tone as well.
  13. That solves one informational problem.... or several :)/> . It looks like his lecture had a healthy dose of physics, business and civics in one bombastic package. My hat's off to him and I wish him the best, after reading that. Maybe it shouldn't have left the room, but that's the danger of the information age.
  14. Maybe the OP is social engineering for info, or maybe he's a plumber trying to stop a leak. I just saw All the President's Men so I had to make the reference :D
  15. You've been on a roller coaster with all that and I apologize because everything that follows truly is trivial in comparison. I can't speak any criticism and I have to acknowledge that it's bitter-sweet in my position. I joined in 2007, never got deployed (a fact I own, given that I had no choice in the matter), and served until 2012. While I was in this new thing called the Post-911 GI Bill became law and it expanded the benefits to near post WWII levels. It's bitter sweet in my position because I know countless others got less for doing so much more, but I have benefited from this law so ver
  16. I bet anybody who makes a 1/48 B-50 would provide some healthy competition to the heavily produced Monogram B-29 that still sells
  17. Maybe a NATO Black with a hint of Insignia Blue can do it, but it really doesn't matter at 1/72 scale, imo.
  18. This amazes me... we had several fights during the time of your service yet benefits were so low. I know it was popular to 'lower costs' all around, but it seems like the powers that be felt some kind words were all you would need to get by on after serving your country. Your education benefits are a darn joke. Same thing happened to my old man when he served around that time. There's really a lot going on in the conscious in the post-Vietnam time frame. Today's education benefits are through the roof, comparatively speaking. When my grandfather (wife's actually) got out of the Corps followin
  19. I'm reminded of an AC-130A that was avoiding SA-2s in the final months of the war. In evading the incoming missiles the pilot ended up inverted at night... lots of stress on the wings. Like this AC-130J pilot, he wasn't able to recover until he was at lower altitude, but the NVA kept lobbing missiles at him. There was an article in Vietnam Magazine about 8 years ago including illustrations.
  20. Since the real aircraft is located in a very sunny place, you may choose to break up the solid blocks of grey with spots of lighter shades Looking real good though
  21. Some folks get admin sep'd, and in my understanding this means that their status was reset to the day before they joined... it's like they never stepped foot at their initial training facility. This could also mean that there is no benefit for him. For those that serve a minimum amount of time, there are benefits but you must serve for 3 years to get full VA benefits, IIRC. I am really referring to VA education benefits. I am going to school with some folks that are only covered 60% because they weren't in long enough or came in under the call to serve program.
