  1. Thanks for the replies. Jari, the photos gave a good idea of what is going on down there, thanks! Jerry
  2. Hello, I am asking for anybody with photos of an F-15E carrying either AMRAAMs or AIM-7 missiles in the STA-6C, STA-7C, STA-3C or STA-4C positions. I am making the Revell F-15E and it gives positions for 3 hardpoints, I think those were intended for bombs but I have seen mudhens carry A-A missiles on that rail and would like to emulate that. If you have any photos, I would much appreciate them! Thanks, Jerry
  3. HAHAHA I like it! Good looking plane, nice job!
  4. Hello, this is a call for help to everyone out there who has built a Revell 1/48 F-15E Eagle (I think the USA and Germany kits are the same in the area I am concerned about). I was building the intakes, but then I realized that I didn't know which inboard intake part goes on which side. I cut both parts out, but then realized that I didn't know which part was which, and therefore which part goes on which side. I am talking about parts 13 (starboard inboard intake) and 14 (port inboard intake). I have both pieces cut out, so I don't know which one is which. Can somebody take a picture of th
  5. Thanks for the comments guys :) Yes I agree that especially for its price, it really isn't that bad of a kit. Of course I accumulate ordinance from here and there so the payload isn't too big of a problem for me...after all I like the clean birds anyways. Jerry
  6. Great work, excellent looking model! Here in San Diego we have the actual aircraft that I believe this kit is modeled off of: http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=01383761&size=large Again, great work! Jerry
  7. Unintentionally timed for Memorial Day, I have just completed this Revell F/A-18E Super Hornet in the 48th scale. The entire thing is OOB. I manually cut the flaps down, and although it is not mechanically accurate, the end result is nice. Model Master enamels used for the body and acrylics used in the cockpit. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking Jerry
  8. Is this thread still open? F-15 is still a beautiful airplane to me...
  9. Thanks guys, I'll be sure to find a Dragon kit for the tank :) Jerry
  10. Hello guys, For the past few years I've been only building airplane models, but now I want to start building armor too. I like the M1 Abrams tank, did a little bit of research, I think Revell has a 1/35 scale one. Tamiya has a good-looking one but it is too expensive ($92?). I think I would prefer 1/35 scale, because in airplane modeling, I like the 1/48 larger airplanes. So...do you guys have any suggestions for which M1 kit to take? Of course I will probably build my first kit out of the box with no mods (I don't even know if you guys do mods, but us airplane guys use plenty of modifica
  11. Thanks Pierre for the link. Arnaud, you bring up a good point. I fitted one of the intakes in today, and it looks like you can see just a bit of the outboard intake. Oh well, it will have to do :) Jerry
  12. Hey guys, I'm working on an F-18 super hornet and I'm having trouble painting the intakes. As you may know, the intakes are not white from the beginning, but rather the leading edges of the intakes are still gray. This is a relatively good photo to describe the intake: Notice how the right side, top side, and bottom of the intake are gray at the beginning. My question is concerning the right side. It is not white from the beginning, however, I cannot find any photo that can show me how far this gray extends back. Does anybody have sources or an idea of how far back it would go? Thanks
  13. Your plane looks great! But I would have expected Hasegawa to include more detail on those exhaust nozzles...
  14. Hello everybody It's been a while since my last build and I am very busy right now, but I am working on this Revell F-18E Gonna build her completely OOB, decals and armament and all. Here she is so far: Cockpit went okay, messed up on the decals. Was too lazy to paint the panel in detail here, so just used the kit panel decals. Nevertheless, this model will probably be finished canopy open. I lost the ejection handle and joystick, gonna have to write to Revell for some replacement parts soon. This is my 2nd model where I am trying sanding. My previous F-18, the Revell F-18F, I sanded
