  1. NIce work! A great plane in a great camo!
  2. She's a beauty Sebastijan! I wish your kid feels better really soon!
  3. Well, the end result is rewarding as I can see form your pics and that gives me courage to start my own build! I will be using acrylics though, since I am working indoors and the smell of laquers wouldn't be the best house perfume for my wife!
  4. Thank you very much for the info. I really helps. This thread will be a very nice reference to my build. I bet the masking process was a handful right?
  5. Great work on a beautiful plane and camo. I am planning on starting the same build any time now. Could you share the colors you used for the camo?
  6. Hello all! I just finished my summer project right before I get to work again. It's an F-5B from Classic Airframes from 341Sqn based in Nea Anchialos, Greece. This Batch of aircraft were delivered to HAF wearing the desert camo that was initially used by IRIAF and Jordan afterwarsds. What is "odd" about the particular plane I used as a subject for this build is that the 609 had both Jordanian and Hellenic markings. I used Gunze acrylics, gloss finish with Gunze Clear and final finish with Windsor and Newton Matt Varnish. Hope you like it!
  7. Thank you Mike! The camo was painted freehand.
  8. Thank you all glad you liked it! @Tomcatfreak: I used Lifecolor paints and in particular : Air superiority blue UA037 FS35450 Royal blue LC34 FS35050 Matt pale blue LC08 FS 35182 The color coding came fron the Begemot decal sheet instructions. @Nazar: My friend I used your photos as a guide fir painting the aircraft. Great walkaround!
  9. Beautiful paintjob and superb detailing! In all, a great model.
  10. Very impressive and beautiful model. Congrats!
  11. Thank you my friend! I built this model knowing that the stinger was not correct but I did it anyway because the camo was the one that caught my eye in the first place and scratchbuilding an old type stinger was out opf the question for me. When I searched info about the Red 35 I saw the Trumpeter kit but I chose the 48th instead because the 72nd was to little for my taste!
  12. Shan thank you! what I did painting the camo was: - Paint all surfaces with the lighter color (Lifecolor RLM75) - Mask all surfaces except the blue ones - Paint blue surfaces (Lifecolor Matt pale blue) - Mask all surfaces except for the dark grey ones - Paint grey surfaces (Lifecolor Ocean Grey) I chose Lifecolor paints because -in my opinion- they were closest to the real ones. There are a lot of references regarding the colors used for this camo. Moreover, each Ukrainian Flanker had different camo pattern! So, should you build an Ukrainian Flanker you must first decide which one you
  13. The Su-27UB in the Ukrainian Air Force markings is a beautiful subject for a project and combined with the monstrous size of the model gives a really impressive result that barely fits in my display. The Academy kit was enhanced by Aires exhausts,Eduard PE set, Master Model pitot tube and Begemot stencil data. MArkings came from the Eduard single seater kit (roundels) and from the salamander decal sheet, that offers plenty Ukrainian markings and numbers but the decals themselves were thick, matt finished and difficult to handle. The paints used were from Lifecolor and the metal parts of the en
  14. The Su-27 is one of my favorite aircraft and I always wanted to have one in my collection, especially one with this remarkable camo scheme. The kit is from Eduard, Neomega cockpit and seats Aires exhausts and Master Model pitot tube. The plane was painted in lifecolor paints. Bunnt metal effects were made using Tamiya weathering set D. I hope you like it!
