I guess those of us who think the Monogram F-106 needs no replacement are a minority. However, I will be waiting to pre-order one of these 2 seaters. If they make a single seater with the gun pack I may consider that.

From the USAF Personnel center: "MAJCOM or Theater Commanders may authorize DFDU to be worn duringcontingencies, exercises, deployments and tactical training requiring desert camouflage as appropriate for climatic conditions" So green is still the primary color of flight suit.

Academy 1/48 F-4C into a EF-4C Wild Weasel?
Captoveur replied to Eli Raphael's topic in Jet Modeling
The C is a short nose. Academy has not yet made a long nose. I suspect if and when they do the E/F/G parts will all be in there. I would expect the J/S/N boxings to hit first though. -
This may be just me but I am thinking Gunship Gray over ADC gray.

ROCKWELL INT'L-DASA 1-48th Scale New Box Art

Because this will be a low demand kit (but one I certainly plan on buying) Please, please PLEASE include a boarding ladder.. Just one of those details I like having so I can pose something like this like it's on the ramp ready to go fly. If at all possible.. I can always fake one out of wire but thats a pain. -
If you can get it I like Gunze for the tri color scheme.

Seconded.. And don't neglect the Js the RAF took on for a few years.

Interesting release from Hasegawa this month

it means that Japan, Israel, and maybe a couple other nations with the finances would have bought F-22s if we had cleared it for foreign military sales, thus lowering the unit price for everyone. And now the line is shut down. -
Lynx Helicopter/ Revell Kit/ 1/32 scale

For the shipboard crash there was one in the Falklands that took a pretty good hit on the deck of a ship. -
Someone already makes an excellent S-3 cockpit in 1/72 that actually includes all 4 positons. I have used it and I was impressed

Has Gaston ever actually completed a model? I have a recent pop of the B-29. It has some flash, but otherwise it looks totally buildable. You can either build the Monogram one, or hold your breath for Tamiya to come out with one I guess.

Personally, my most oddball load on a C is 4 Sparrows, a Gun Pod, and 4 AIM-4 Falcons. with outboard tanks. Not something you see often. I lifted the Falcons out of the Encore F-102

Would it be possible to do 3x AGM-65 on one wing and 3x MK-20 on the other with Mk-46s in the bays? I am about to start another S-3 myself and didn't want the Harpoon and torpedo load.

The day Gaston actually finishes a kit is the day his opinion matters.

The National Museum of the USAF has the prototype in their restoration hangars. Granted, the leadership of that place will likely tell anyone with any kind of interest in making anyone care about aviation to go screw themselves.. But that's where it is.

So what's wrong with the Monogram 106? Oh yeah, It's Monogram. <_< I will only be interested in this if they come out with a B model. The monogram A model still builds nicely, but the conversions to a B were more than I cared to deal with.

So what you're saying is they tried building it just like the real thing only not so well.

What 1:48 jet would you like to see from G.W.H. ?
Captoveur replied to falcon91352's topic in Jet Modeling
Buccaneer... All this time, and there really isn't an injection molded 1/48 kit of the thing. -
With the Cobra interior it can be made passable. But I Wouldn't try to slip it by an expert on the things. I have one built up in my collection to go with a Jayhawk.. It fills the square,

The exhausts have a seam down the middle of them that is a bit of a pain. I would suggest getting the Big Ed set for the ASW interior bits.
-
I may have one of the cameras from the Revell kits in my spares box. If you don't get a better solution I will see if I can find it.

Thanks for the thinly veiled personal insult. I finished the kit. Just like I have finished dozens of "unbuildable" kits. However, a modern, new tool kit should not require half a tube of putty and a good bit of evergreen to rectify massive gaps, fuselage halves that don't match up at the seams, gigantic panel trenches, missing parts that I made replacements for myself, and a complete lack of interior in spite of a crew door that can be opened. But hey, if that is cool with you in a $90 kit I won't keep you from it. It was like building a short run kit designed by a blind alcoholic. So i

The Hawkeye is a flippin disaster.

So when are they coming out? I am dying to buy this sheet.
