  1. I had exactly the same problem the other week, this was after a good stir and through an airbrush. I initially thought it was down to the type of thinners I was using, my remedy was that I went straight for the tamiya semi gloss bottle and applied that over the top and it thankfully sorted it out!
  2. Hi, I am currently looking to configure my EA-18g Growler in the scheme worn by the 'Scorpions' during Op Odyssey Dawn. This is the one with desert camo tail and brown national insignia markings. I believe the scheme is part of the Afterburner Decals Superbug special cags#3 or is part of the hasegawa scorpions kit. If anyone has either going spare and looking to sell would be very grateful. Thanks B
  3. Pappy, Just recently used Lucky Model for a replacement canopy for a Kinetic F-16I. I followed the advice from another member on here but literally created an account made the request through one of the account options, I think a service request(can't remmber exactly and can't access LM from work!). I had the part one week later!. Outstanding service in my book! B
  4. Just painted mine, thought about it for a while but started with the aggressor grey, then built up the camo in layers based on the less complicated shape patterns presented . For me it was blues then grey/whites then more blues and last grey/whites. Worked out fine apart from some overspray on last run and will have to re-mask the now more complicated shapes! It is worthy of note that you do have to lightly sand the edges of the masked painted shapes prior to next colour to eliminate ridges in the next colour run!:-) B
  5. Hoops, Did pretty much the same! PA and OAT from the instruments, bit of mental arithmetic and then to the graphs! Don't know of a PA gauge either! :-) B
  6. Aircraft pressure instruments (altimeter, ASI, VSI) are modelled on the International Standard Atmosphere(ISA). Density Altitude basically takes into account the conditions of the day namely pressure and temperature and resolves it through ISA to give the pilot an indication of the altitude at which his aircraft will perform. Say for an example you could be physically sat on the deck at sea level but because of the actual air temp(e.g. >15 degrees C) and pressure(e.g. <1013Hpa) you would be at a higher 'density' altitude, and this is where the engines & rotors would perform as if t
  7. Been out of modelling for a long time and this is my first post. I have just finished a hasegawa f-22. I used vallejo game color paint converted from the citadel colours mentioned above. You do have to do a bit of work to get them to spray right but the result for me was excellent.
