Hi, all. I am new at car modeling, and I need a little help. I would like to shoot some pearl colors (BOYD Colors). I need to do some body work and putty work, so I will have to prime the car before painting. I am guessing I need to prime it in white. If this is true so far, do I need to shoot the primer and then sand it down prior to the color, or shoot the color and then use gloss coat and sand and polish it out? Can I shoot the color directly onto the plastic and skip the primer if no body work is needed? With these questions answered, I can move forward. If I do need primer, what type is t

What decal set did you use? I am looking for a set that has the smaller stars and bars. BP ;)

Hi, all. I started to work on the 1/48 scale Academy F-22 (12122). The instructions do not tell one how to paint it on the exterior. I found out that there is another seperate sheet for that. I contacted MRC, but they cannot help me. Does anyone have a copy that can be scanned and sent by e-mail? I would really appreciate some help if I can get it. WWV - After looking at the online build, I am not sure about this kit! :( I am sure it will look ok when finished, but they sure missed the boat on some important detail. OP - what you described is what Dan Marino did week after week. That man could toss a football through the eye of a moving needle at 40 yards. The game was never over with a minute to go. OP - You want to build an art gallery, not an aviation gallery. You may get oohs and ahhs from the artsy crowd, but you would be shreaded by the aircraft and aviation crowd. Don

I just ruined a model last night. I sprayed it with clear from a rattle can. Never again. It crinkled the paint all over, and was flat when dried. I have to sand it down now, retouch and spray clear with an airbrush. Not happy. :( Good luck getting yours corrected too! Don
