  1. They always have these deals just before my payday
  2. I have the Trumpy F8J coming real soon and I would like to do it in Sundowners livery. I looked through the Zotz selection but no joy there. If any one can steer me in the right direction as how to set this up the right way to paint or know where I can get a set of decals I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your support. Paul
  3. Is there a special program that you use for these illustrations? It is sure interesting and I would love to experiment with it some.
  4. Thanks much. This is not done by any stretch of the imagination. I have the decals done but I still have to add some fiddly bit and do some weathering and a flat coat. I do have some stuff I know I did wrong but if they shot well somebody will have to get over it. The shark mouth did give me some difficulty but I slammed it down and loaded it up with micro sol and before the final pics Ill do some touch ups. After all that I'll have a shot at a really goo photo spread to see how it comes out. http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff479/Paul6187/006-9.jpg[/img] http://i1237.photobucket.com/albu
  5. Man that gap is as big as the Rio Grande and you can even step over it.
  6. After a week off I finally got the wheels I was waiting for but they arent on and tonight I guess Ill get the ole girl on her pins and see how she stacks up. I know that there are some inconsistencies on the paint job and I know it may get some picking on but I am still not finished yet so here are the pics. I will be on this again in a while to figure what is next in weathering....Cheers :)
  7. I have a little difficulties with losing parts so the P-40 is awaiting a set of resin wheels courtesy of NSMEKANIC . While it waits I wanted to tackle the Dornier again and see if I could repair the glitches I have in the kit. I filled and sanded the wings again and filled one wing root because of the ever present gaps. I also too about two hours out of my day to mask the green houses and they aren't done. So I thought I would goive you a glimpse of what is transpiring. Now I am really in a bind with the camo I want to do but I need about 6 lbs of spaghetti to do it .
  8. Wow the difference is astounding.
  9. Hey Ryan, I have that 32 Beau and the pilot looks either Asian or Nesai. and he looks to be able to fit 24 scale kits. He is a big guy although not so detailed. Sorry for hijacking this thread I did the Revell kit from back in the early 70,s twice in my life and one 21 ct F4u. I have to say I liked the 21ct one the best.
  10. I had the opportunity to watch the forum for a couple of months now and decided it was safe to play here. I really don't see any negative comments about anybodys build and you guys seem ok to me. I started this kit earlier this month and an supposed to send it to a friend in Ar. who happens to really "dig those P-40's" as he puts it. I really didn't find this kit all that bad as I have read about it a bit. I really am not a rivet counter and if it looks like a duck it must be a,well a P-40. Starting with the engine I found it to actually be enjoyable to build. and realizing later that it
  11. Wyman those are some spectacular builds. They are really nice to see and easy on the eye. Paul
  12. Pre-traumatic air show syndrome?
  13. Well this helped me make a decision on buying the kit this coming week. I am wondering though, did they do the Atlantic color scheme on these planes? I am doing a collection of all Navy planes but in the Atlantic livery.
