  1. Brett Green at HyperScale is building the MIG-21. His solution: "I used a mix of Gunze H46 Emerald Green and Tamiya X-14 Sky Blue to match the colour PE parts. The instructions call out H46, but it is too green by itself. " Finding Gunze is not the easiest task.. I found some at Great Models. Arrived today and haven't had a chance to try mixing yet.   4. The tops from 20oz soda bottles fit the Model Master bottles just fine.. I haven't had a problem with paint drying in the bottles.

  7. I'm building the Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire. I was wondering if the interior of the radiator cowlings were left NMF, painted with Primer, or painted with the underside camouflage? Thanks in advance for helping.

  11. Thanks for the replies. As luck or timing would have it.. I found a couple of pictures tonight that I took on the flight line at Perrin AFB around that time. I thought they were lost. Both the wells, and the inside of the gear doors were Interior Green... Charlie
  12. My question relates to T-33's in the late 1950-early 1960 time frame. Air Training Command aircraft. I know that the wheel well's were usually Interior Green. But I have seen multiple references that indicate that the interior of the gear doors may have been natural metal, or interior green, or red, or ?????? I'm looking for any information that may shed some light on the real subject, and I appreciate your responses. And, I also know that there may be no one correct answer! Regards, Charlie
  13. Any suggestions for thinning Micro Flat? Instructions on the bottle are to thin with water or alcohol. I tried alcohol and it turned into a thick blob. Not a fan of water unless I have to. Thanks in advance to all. Charlie

  15. I placed an order with Joe about a month ago. I received an email response within two days and the decal sheet about two weeks later. Some of that delay could have been the Canadian postal system. I might be the only one, but have run into some significant delays getting other things through postal. I have place a number of orders over the past years and have never had a major problem. Charlie

  19. Does anyone have an educated guess on the color of the R-7 booster rocket for the Sputnik 1 launch? I have reviewed a number of sources and it appears to be a shade of gray. But depending on the lighting, film, age of picture, etc I cannot tell what shade. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Regards, Charlie
