  1. End of Day 4 and some of Vendor Room Teardown

  3. I'm going to second this one, I was a little wary when I bought it, but it definitely works well. I used a twin window fan model like the one you first posted foxmulder_ms, and my wife mentioned that she could smell the fumes in the house, but after i switched she doesn't seem to anymore. Once the temps pick back up I will probably use both at the same time though.
  4. So I'm not the only one with this idea... I just got the ROG 1:1200 Nimitz, and a Dragon 1:144 FA-18F double set. I want to do the F-18 as VFA-32, so other than decals/painting, would I have to change much on the Nimitz to change it to the Truman?
  5. You should be able to get "in" to the show with a daily admission, but if you want to put a model in the contest you have to join IPMS as far as I know Make sure to follow @IPMSUSA2014 on twitter for updates on the 2014 Convention in Hampton VA
  6. For clarification's sake, the 2014 Nationals are in HAMPTON VA at the Hampton Roads Convention Center , about 40-60 min from Virginia Beach depending on tunnel traffic. The same chapter (IPMS Tidewater) that has run Virginia Beach Nationals in the past is running 2014, just in a different location. Once Colorado is completed we will be releasing all of the particulars.
  7. If you want to "take your stash with you" one option I have found for an android phone is Memento Database (http://mementodatabase.com/). It's probably not as in depth as kit base since its a general database program and not one designed specifically for models, but it has a free version that can sync with google docs for 2 databases and the pay version is only 9.99 which has unlimited syncing. You can set up all of your fields with drop downs, as well as pictures and what I like, barcodes so if you're at a show and are wondering do I have that kit, you can just scan the barcode with your ph
  8. Just a note, August 2014 is in Hampton Virginia, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Tidewater is just the region Hampton is in. We probably won't have information up till after the 2013 Colorado show this year as far as tables and such. But if you send me a private message with contact info, I can probably get you info soon. And are you looking for vendor space or club display space?
  9. I made this 2 weekends ago, cost about $20 at Lowes, but I already had the screws so that would increase the price a small amount. But I bought a wider piece of wood for the bottom since I wasn't going to attach it directly to the wall which may have made up for that price difference. It's just a 24"x48" pegboard , with a bunch of 1"x2"x4' "whitewood" Boards. If I did it again I would do 1x3x4s . And I think they have larger pegboard pieces if you wanted it larger. This video pretty much shows the steps I took to make it
  10. You're both right, "BUSTED / PLAUSIBLE / CONFIRMEDIn the case of a bullet fired at a precisely vertical angle (something extremely difficult for a human being to duplicate), the bullet would tumble, lose its spin, and fall at a much slower speed due to terminal velocity and is therefore rendered less than lethal on impact. However, if a bullet is fired upward at a non-vertical angle (a far more probable possibility), it will maintain its spin and will reach a high enough speed to be lethal on impact. Because of this potentiality, firing a gun into the air is illegal in most states, and even i
  11. Man, if that wasn't my wedding day I'd be there from Williamsburg in an instant
  12. Only got back into the hobby in the last year, and this is the first one I've felt good enough about to post...
  13. Its been a few years since I moved from CT, but Time Machine Hobbies in Manchester(15-20 minutes from Glastonbury) was good. http://www.timemachinehobby.com/
