For the moment I don't think anyone can see the objectives very clearly...404 error.

Word Game - will this catch on???
Fellow Hobbyist replied to TomcatFanatic123's topic in Test Post Clubhouse
This must STOP! All this word play has me reaching deep with the STOUPS of vocabulary (or dredging the internet as the next best thing). Now that I think about it can the aforementioned vessels be considered POTTERY? Anyway birds are never know to be MOLLYCODDLING to their young who have fully FLEDGED. If it were only true for some of us humans; even if one's parental relations are like a veritable TSARDOM. -
The overpressure door panel templates were abandoned and strips of Dymo were laid out to etch the panels one at a time. Oh more tedium but I finished that step and attached the inlets and blended them into the fuselage. As you can see in addition to doing that I installed some shims to improve the fit of the canopy onto the cockpit. The strips were blended and painted to match the the cockpit interior. When it comes time to attach the canopy any remaining gaps will simply be filled with white glue. Ventral strakes attached and filled with wood filler. Not much to remark about except alig

Ah Berkut beat me to it. The CRS flights are on NASA's dime. Keep in mind that the other 12 Falcon 9 launches have been from other Non-NASA contracts. The recovery testing is also not a loss of money from the standpoint that the stage would have just crashed into the ocean downrange anyway. So why not use a perfectly functioning flight stage to conduct the demonstration of the powered vertical landing techniques SpaceX hopes will allow for truly reusable hardware.

Such offenses may drive some POTTY and though we may feel SPITED, such feelings are FLEETING and should not be CODDLED. For the record the creativity of those who participate in this thread is well...TSUNAMIC. -
An alternative to using solvent based fillers is to use latex-based wood fillers; the thinner stuff sold in a squeeze tube rather than plastic tub. I had a similar situation where the ventral strakes on a 1/72 F-1 fighter required some seams to be filled. I applied the latex putty generously over the seam and let it set for at least five minutes. Afterward i used a dampened cotton swab to clean away the excess filler. The filler pushed into the seam would stay put be blended into the surrounding fuselage/ strake join. The advantage is that the wood putty does not damage the surrounding plast

I saw the B-29 "Fifi" and the C-45 "Bucket of Bolts" this afternoon. I thought the rain would ruin my plans for sure. Luck would have it though that the rain stopped by the time I arrived at Nashua Airport. I'd never seen a B-29 outside of a photograph until today so I was very pleased to have had the opportunity to see the real thing.

White glue should work just the same when attaching clear parts to resin as it does with styrene.

I just did a search on that number. It seems the scammers in question are mostly targeting Canadians.

"[The Green Flag West exercise] provides training for approximately 75,000 joint and coalition personnel per year, including 3,000 sorties, 6,000 flight hours, and the expenditure of over 700,000 pounds of live and training ordnance." USAF Fact Sheet on Green Flag West

It may have been nothing serious. If you had been standing with your legs straight and locked for an extended period of time while grilling that would be a likely cause.

Best guess; it is just water that was already on the deck that is just blown around by the jet wash.

Update. The fuselage has been completely etched! But of course there is still much to do. All the manipulating lead to some of the vanes molded under the nose to snap off. Likewise did about half the molded pitot tube. So those needed to be replaced. Replacing the vanes was easy. I cut thin strips of .015" plasticard and simply glued them right onto where to original vanes broke. I let the glue work it's magic overnight to ensure the strongest bond possible for the replaced vanes. A quick snipping with diagonals and the results... They are holding nicely. Would you believe the glue wa

I hadn't noticed the trucks initially.

What we will be LAMENTING is the fact the old MEAT is fermenting. Many a fly will wish to be POSTED there. -
The countries shaded in blue are those who do not have any type of compulsory military service instituted. You will note most 1st world countries are among these. The three in yellow are proposing abolishing their compulsory service laws and going to an all volunteer military. Personally I don't see how compulsory service would instill a sense of service or appreciation for country. At best most will view mandatory service as a chore that will leave having their previous views of country and service unchanged; some may actually develop a disdain for both.

Will Someone Explain 3-D Printed Details?
Fellow Hobbyist replied to Sebastian Haff's topic in General Discussion
One advantage with additive manufacturing is that one can make revisions to the design of a detail part without having to make an entirely new mold or go through retooling an existing mold with each modification. A designer simply modifies the computer model and can print the part once he is satisfied. Also some of the more advanced 3d printers can render a part that contains elements with different colors at the same time. And moving parts can be printed in there fully assembled state. -
"Maybe I will finish this model next week." - weekly refrain to one's self.

One of the references I have on scribing I have linked here. It's an very old article from FSM. But it is still relevant to learning the techniques of re-scribing panel lines. Also a superb reference is the book Model Aircraft Tips and Techniques by Mike Ashey. He devotes an entire chapter on scribing.

So the trouble with this model was the raised panel detail. I had known that the body work would obliterate much of the detail; especially the details on the bottom of the fuselage. And to be honest I took time off from the project just to figure out what I was going to do about that. The fear of ruining the model really kept me from tackling the problem. So I just decided around Christmas time to sand off all the raised detail. Once that was done began the long and tedious process of etching the lines. Fortunately sanding off the lines still left a residual "ghost" on the plastic. I draw gui

Likewise with Duck, the following information I have not used for a project myself. But being somewhat of a person who bookmarks potentially useful information for future reference I recall a blog post from 8 years ago that might be helpful for your project Dutchman. DIY Silkscreening
