  1. Just remember anything dealing with accuracy between A/B and C/D models all depends on timeframe you are modeling, pre MISIP, etc.... The wheels are a major item ( but pre or post MISIP) as is the speedbrake fairing which changed to a more scalloped look on the C's in comparison to all A models with the wedge shape except pre production types and first jets with the first style of speedbrake (short one) and lets not forget wing tips changing from the earley earley A models to the C. The panels changed as well in configuration between A and C models, plus take a look at referances between F-15
  2. The spelling might be alittle off ;) but yes Alpena is a real place. The 27th and 71st went to the ANG base that is there during runway closure that year.
  3. When I was in the 27th in 1983 up at cold lake we zapped the Agressors F-5's (all of them inside their gear doors) with large squadron stickers and "snow snakes", the next day we had Star and sickles on the inside of all of ours, spray painted though. The best was when we deployed to Alpenis Michigan and did double headed snow snakes all over to include the town and in the local news paper they thought some cult had come to town :) Cheers Dave Snow snakes was what bit you when walked out of a bar and slipped breaking your ***, something made up from time in Korea.
  4. There was one at Ft Eustis in Va at the Transportation Museum, well when I was stationed at Langley (Till 1990)some years ago it was there.
