  1. Retarder slows the drying time of the paint. Flow aid decreases the surface tension. Don't add either of these directly to the paint. Add a bit of them to a larger amount of solvent and then add this mixture to the paint you plan on using. Make sure to test compatibility first. I believe Liquitex retarder will cause Gunze to not dry. Don't take the cheap way out. Use Tamiya thinner to thin Tamiya paints and you won't have any issues at all.
  2. Revell completely messed up on the cockpit. It is a D model cockpit and not a F model cockpit with the biggest error being the rear IP. There are other accuracy issues as well. From what I've heard it also isn't easy to put together, especially the awkward nose.
  3. What are peoples favorite online hobby shops in US, Canada, and Europe? What are some alternatives to Squadron and Sprue Brothers in the US?
  4. I sent an email to Lucky Model and now I will wait. What exactly is wrong with it?
  5. If you want to use something stronger, you can use epoxy. Just make sure it is mixed thoroughly before you use it.
  6. I need a replacement canopy for my Kinetic 1/48 F-16A.
  7. The early style, simple HUD found on 20s, 30s, etc.
  8. I've tried searching Google, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a picture of the HUD assembly in the Aires 1/48 F-16C cockpits. The Aires instructions are awful and I can't make heads or tails of the HUD assembly.
  9. Do any companies make FOD covers for Kinetic's F-16s? I would like to cover the intake and exhaust on my Kinetic F-16, but at least the intake.
  10. Very nice to hear! I will be looking forward to it!
  11. I wasn't at all referring to that when I made my statement. I was referring to the statements by jester292 which I quoted in my post. Is my English hard to understand?
  12. Thanks for the confirmation. I saw that excellent book of yours, but it seems it a bit overkill for me especially since this will probably be the only F-16A I'll build. What's the easiest way to fix the tail? Would a Hasegawa tail work? If so, what exact part numbers would I need? I've heard PMWP mentioned, but I can't find anything about them nor their products.
  13. If you find a kit you are interested in, you might be able to find an in-depth review of it here. I think there are a few of the AFV Club field artillery kits.
