  1. Hi Dave, Here is a link for you that might help. http://www.saairforc...php?f=21&t=4179 http://www.saairforc...t=4427&start=90 The guys on the forum are really nice and any question you have will be answered. Regards Phil
  2. Thanks a lot for the offer. I really had a lot of luck lately. My Employer is going to Canada within the next week. I handed my salary over to him and told him what to bring back for me! So I suppose I'm sort of sorted! Thanks for the help in any way. Regards Phil
  3. Hi Bashace! I really don't know how much postage will cost from Qatar to SA. The best will be to go to the post office in Qatar. The cost will most probably be worked out on the size and weight of the package. I don't think it could be too expensive if it is a model that you want to post. If it is under 1KG, I suspect it will be in the range of about $5-$10.
  4. Thanks Avgass, I registered on the forum yesterday and I already became a million times wiser. It's great to have people that can help with simple things in life! Chat to you on the SAAF Forum in the near future. Regards Woseck
  5. Hi Gents, I’m pretty new to the modelling hobby and I really love it. I read all the posts on the forum and it is really interesting and it really helps me a lot. Thanks a bunch for all the contributions. (Although, I’m still trying to perfect a model to post on ARC). Here are three questions that I would really appreciate some help with: 1. In the Pretoria area I can’t find the highly talked about Future floor polish. What can I use as a substitute? 2. The most common paint to find in the area where I live is Tamiya Enamels. (I spent about $50
  6. Hi fellow ARC'ers! I'm currently busy with the A-10 from Revell. I would like to know if anyone on the forum have any info or pictures relating to the ones of the 23rd Wing at Pope AFB N.C or 47th fighter squadron at Barksdale AFB La. Any help will be greatly appreciated since I really don't know much about the American Bases, emblems or Insignia. Regards Phil

    Test

Can anybody please help me? I'm a bit lost at the moment with the signature story. Why is it that everytime I try to post a signature I get this message: [#1029] Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed length. Please go back and shorten it a little.
  8. Hi Guys, Thanks a lot for all the comments and tips. It is greatly appreciated. I will start off with your advice and work my way up! Regards Phil

    Test

Just want to see if I have a signature picture.
  10. Hi all, I would like to know from the ARC People which model will be the first to actually start with. I'm currently busy with a 1/72 B-17 Flying Fortress from Academy. It's really a lot of fun and time consuming but things just don't really want to stick together at the moment. Tooooo much frustration and I'm usually a man of patience! Can I please get your thoughts on a easy starting kit or at least a few that I can begin with to build up my skills! Kind Regards Phil
  11. Hi all, If you can lay your hands on the following: The last bullet The lost batallion If you like war history, try to get hold of the mini series called Border War. It is really good and a total different war from any other wars ever fought! It is the true events from soldiers fighting the war between the Angolan/Namibia border. It is not the war the SAP (South African Police) fought in Mozambique, Zambia and the old Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). If you would like to know more, please pm me. Just for interest: SAAF Impala Mk. II is a modified Aermacchi MB-326. Extracts from wikipedia Impal
  12. Thank you Kei Lau, I watched the movie, it really looks like Brett is comfortable with the Aztek, I will not be. I suppose it is second nature to him at this time. It will actualy be my first time to airbrush, so I really still have a S**tload to learn, I just took the Aztek because everyone on the net (including Bret) is raving about it. I know Bret from all the books that he published and I checked out a few of them. So I followed his recomendations on it.

    Air-Tractor 502

Hi Guys, I would like to enquire if there's any tractor models on the market? Regards Phil
  14. Thank you very much for the link and help Mister Don!
  15. I have ordered a new Aztek A470 to start my airbrushing with. I'm fairly new to the scale modelling industry and I would like to know from Aces if the Aztek is any good and what are the different nozzles for, and if you can actually use all the nozzles for enamel paints? Preferably Tamiya enamels. All I can find where I live.
