  1. How sick is that?? Over 70,000 for a little plastic kit?!
  2. Nice looking model! Even the pictures are too tiny to identify the detail (making out the differences of the 2 kits) it seems to be the Zvezda kit.
  3. Where can I see it retract? I only see a picture from different angles of landing gear of the parked aircraft. This is what I always wanted to know how it fits into the wing. In a video I only saw it tilt and retract but from great distance and the video was very grainy so it was impossible to see in detail.
  4. Fantastic model! I like the weathering of the gear struts, what did you use for this? Is it dark oil paint? Really a gem! I would like to order your PE set as well.
  5. No problem, here we go Qantas A330-300 1 Qantas A330-300 2
  6. Don't rely on photos. It depends on the angle they are taken from, distance, objective and other things. The shape of the fuselage is all the same.
  7. @viper 494: The pictures represent the current state of progress, just finished the 4 engines. I am currently working on the horizontal stabs. Cuprar, as I want to maintain my current accuracy level I think this will last another year at least if not longer. I have to scratch build the whole landing gear. And this will be one of the work-intensive chapters of this build. But I also can't wait to get it finished :)
  8. Thanks :) Jan, I did my own PE parts etching every single blade and other details of the engines. Biggest problem was the blade positioning to get it accurate. Wasn't easy and I pondered a long time how to do it but now it is ok and for my satisfaction.
  9. The passenger windows are self made with clear window frame decals. For the panel lines I used a razor blade after the paint is dry. Then I did some lines with a pencil but very very light without any force. You can wipe along the lines with your finger and the color of the pencil will remain in the lines made with the razor blade. The result is a very sharp line which comes close to the real thing. The kit-panel lines of the Revell 744 are way to heavy and I filled them with putty. As I also paint cars, I use 2K-car clear coat for the top coat. Adding some dulling agent will allow you to ad
  10. §1: Girls are always right. §2: If they actually aren't right, we return to §1 :D
  11. Thanks :) here 3 more (older) pictures, couldn't upload them in one post because it is limited to 10 pics...
  12. Hi, I'm a member of airlinercafe.com for a long time and have never posted here on ARC before. Here some pictures of my current 747-build. This project is going on for 2 years now. More pictures will follow as soon there is any progress. Greetings, Chris
