  1. This is a master class in modification Jost. I will also be saving this thread for future reference for my build. 🏆
  2. Nice start Jost. There was a set released by Maintrack many years ago but long OOP. This set is a welcome addition with the latest modifications.
  3. Lovely result on the 'Rat' Fred. Your display set is awesome as well! 🏆
  4. Dave, You are talking 1/72 , SM is asking about 1/48. Brengun had released T-56 engines in 1/48 for the H model C-130 to convert the J. If you find them then you are part way there. Italeri has also released 1/48 AC-130 gunship kits, A and U models. Scale mates has details on these and itstructions for the kits so you could download them and see what you need to do modify the kit you have Here is a link to the AC-130U instructions
  5. It looks nice with the paint, the step issues you have is not uncommon. That is why I always lay the white down first. I also use a inital coat of flat white as it covers better and then put a gloss finishing coat over it.
  6. Thanks, it shows some nice detail I could not figure out previously.
  7. Thanks guys, this one has stalled, got distracted by other builds. I've also just moved house so everything was packed away. This was the last shot of in the company of my other C-130s. So I should get back to it and add those ramp guides. The L-100-30 top centre took over my attention and then the C-130J-30 bottom right until I spilt water on the decals sheet (I have another I can rob bits from). Sorting out the bench in the new place
  8. Kursad, there aren't too many hires images side on around for that period when the A4Gs were in the hi-vis scheme. I have some I have collected and can email them to you if you want. most of the shots I have are similar to this and similar resolution
  9. Nice! Great to see this different subject matter being built and displayed 🏆
  10. Hey Brother Dutch, get your hands on the A-10 sheets and fill your boots! 😄
  11. I know Phil, I recall you getting the sheet, though I'd out do you putting the same markings on a C-130 😛
  12. Ahh, nope. I get a message that says 'Sorry, this content isn't available at this time'
  13. Wow! yes very pretty and a must have! 😮 When do the pre-orders start?
  14. A very rare kit indeed, looking forward to more updates
  15. This is the 1/72 Welsh Models Gulfstream G-IV built as a U-4 of the JASDF. The kit was built OOB with the addition of type-specific antennas. Decals are by Draw Decal. The U-4 Multi-Purpose Support Aircraft is a Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation business jet “GIV-SP” that has been refurbished to Japan Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) specifications. The U-4 was introduced to JASDF in 1995 as a successor to the reciprocating twin-engine aircraft “B-65” which was mainly used for communication and personnel transport, and as a Multi-Purpose Support Aircraft. It is mainly us
  16. Here is my latest completion, a 1/72 scale Italeri Lockheed C-130E finished as an L-100-30 of Tepper Aviation. Since the L-100 is basically a C-130H I had to modify the kit to bring it up to that spec. The modifications were adding fuselage plugs to lengthen it (from Flightpath) to make it a -30. I also added scatch-built antennas and an electro-optical turret mount under the radome as per the actual aircraft. I also lengthened the engine nacelles and main landing gear (MLG) sponsons. Finally, I added ECS intakes below the starboard cockpit and on the starboard MLG spon
  17. It certainly is, I built is a couple of years ago and did not notice the rudder gap issue .
  18. This is great Steve, I am tempted to break out my EP-3 and have a crack at it.
  19. Nice work Steve, if they are anything like the RAAFs P-3s and P-8s they are most likely the v shaped ones This shot shows it fairly well, you can see the squared edges on it. And those on my AP-3C(EW) I just found an image from the 90s with the round shaped antenna as well.
  20. Lovely job Andy and a very comprehensive post on the mods you did Thanks!
