Believe at Shaw the 18th TRS squadron color was blue - red was 17th TRS.

That is 17th TRS - also, red checkerboards on vertical fin rudder were 17th TRS. These 17th TRS markings also used on RF-101 Voodoos introduced in 1957. As a general observation, have only seen the squadron unit patch displayed on left side of 363rd and 432nd TRW aircraft at Shaw in that 1957-1958 era.
