  1. There is no problem. Airbrush works fine as far as I can tell. Tip is new and has no crack. My question is: What's the use of the aircap if the needle sticks out beyond it?
  2. I have been using my Paasche VL airbrush for a while now with no problem but I never noticed this. See photos: The needle is sticking out beyond the aircap! Is this normal and by-design or mine is defective? Isn't the aircap supposed to protect the needle tip from trauma? Please advise.

  8. Thank you, guys. I guess I will sand them off carefully then. SMER has the ONLY 1/48 Tiger Moth in the market and I should live with it
  9. I ordered a 1/48 Tiger Moth by SMER and it arrived today but look what I found, decal impression on plastic!!! I never had seen decal impressions on the fuselage and the wing surfaces. Why on earth should SMER do this? This is horrible because I want to use my own decals and make an Imperial Iranian Air Force, and not the decals provided. What is best to do now? Sanding? It will damage surroundings for sure.
  10. Thank you, MoFo. My friend told me he used Lepage Super Glue so at least we now know it is a CA. It is cured though. Lepage website says boiling water can soften the cured CA. http://www.lepageproducts.com/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=144 What should I do? I don't want to damage the paint. I just want to remove this small cured CA residue.
  11. I need to safely remove an old glue residue from a diecast model surface. Please don't ask me how the glue got there as I know it is insane. I am helping a friend. I have no idea what type of glue it is, looks like a craft glue. How can I safely remove this glue from the painted diecast model surface without damaging the paint underneath? I did try Goo-Gone but no luck. I wanted to try Acetone but I am afraid it might dissolve the paint. I have no idea what type of paint is on the diecast model, should be enamel or lacquer. Any help is appreciated.
  12. Thank you, Dave. I guess do need your help as I really don't think Revell can help me with the spares after 34 years. Please PM me. Thanks a million.
  13. I believe it must be a product defect. Look what I just found here. This is a repacking of the same model in 1986. They fixed the stabilizer, I guess. But still, were all 1981 models defective?! How is this possible? This is a mould/injection issue, right? http://www.flevoaviationhobby.net/images/kitreviews/1-32/rev4712/rev4712.html What should I do now? How can I get the spare? Anybody?
  14. Sorry, Pete. Did you reply to my posy or just repost my photos?
  15. Hello All, I am going crazy!!! Please help me find out what's going on here: Today, I opened this 1981 Revell 1/32 F-14 Tomcat kit after a long long hiatus. I checked all the parts. The model is complete but look at the photos. I can only make one correct vertical stabilizer! According to the instructions, part 71 and 72 make one stabilizer but parts 73 and 74 which make the other stabilizer are short and curvy!!! Am I crazy or this is a product defect by Revell? Please look at the instructions. The parts are still on the sprues. Please help!
  16. Hello guys, I need the color/decal instruction sheet for Airfix 1/72 F-5E Tiger II. It doesn't come in the box but it is printed on the box! I mistakenly threw the box out. I found this one but I can't make out much: Could anyone post a bigger and higher resolution copy, please? I am stuck!
  17. I still have overspray problem. I do freehand camo but I can never make a fine/soft border where different colors meet. I have spatter all the time. I did play with preasure, paint viscosity and needle size, still not happy. Now this guy is unreal. Check him out here: http://www.ratomodeling.com/articles/airbrushing1/
  18. I believe they are published in 1994 and 1997 respectively.
