  1. G'day Chris Got my 4 noses today in the post all arrived downunder OK. Great service from the States tome down in OZ in under a week! Excellent. Also the noses are lovely and i love the resin you are using it has a beautiful smooth finish. Worth every cent. Anyway thanks and i'll look forward to the canopy sets plus whatever else you choose to do. Thanks Darren Howie
  2. Hi Chris Well if i dont need to enrol i will just order off your site if that makes it easier for you. THanks Darren
  3. I dont know of any decals but there are some great resin engine fronts from Rons Resins in Australia. Top quality stuff. Darren
  4. Hi Zacto. I was intending using a Western Union international money order. From what i understand you dont have to pay to cash them. As for my paypal it was an account using a credit card which was used faudulently and that is why i will not ever use or recommend them in any way. In Australia there are no charges on cashing Western Union MO's is in not the same in the US. I would have thought you coul cash one at a Western Union agent like here in Australia. Thanks Darren
  5. Hi Zacto, Did you get my email re my nose order for 4 and how to pay as i am not using Paypal. I'd also not recommend Paypal to anyone after my experience over the last 2 months after a fraudulent purchase went thorough on my account. Their service has been terrible to say the least. ANyway please let me know if Western Union MO is OK or if not to work out something else. Thanks Darren Howie
  6. Havn't seen anything here written about this kit i picked up yesterday. Really i am quite surprised at just how great it is.The panel lines are far finer than any of the Revell or Academy 144 kits i have and its generally a great little kit of a cool looking aerolane. Given there are quite a few Cargo operators flying these its a cool kit if you are into Russion stuff or just after a really nice 144th kit and certainly one of the best i have seen. With this cool Russian stuff around i cant wait for the Condor to come out. Darren
  7. Got mine today and boy its huge. Like as big as a 350th Aircraft carrier but more bulky. You could actually mistake the saucer for a lid off a rubbish bin its that big. Panel lines are a overdone and i think the decals are not to high in the quality stakes from looking at them. Hopefully they apply OK but it would have been nice to get some from cartograph or superscale. ANyway shes big and looks very nice. Darren
  8. Great news that the noses are out!! Time to order Darren
  9. Chris Ventura do the vac canopies for squadron i belive as well as having a massive range of their own vac canopies. So i figure they know all the hard lessons you are learning at the moment. Darren
  10. G'day Zactoman Still cant wait to see all this stuff when it gets finished!! As for the price on the nose i persoannly think 20USD is a little expensive. RC Resins in the UK did a new nose for the Trump F105G because the original looked like Thunderbird one! Its selling for 6 Pounds and comes with a camera housing,4 ecm antenna's and a pitot tube. From cutting edge a replacement nose, ventral strake pitot, camera housing and 2 extra vents is 19.99USD. Given the slightly larger size of the Su27 dome and the fact that it only comes with a pitot i'd be saying that a price of 15-17USD would be
  11. G'day ken Does the cockpit lack any 3D feel using the Eduard stuff. My only concern with them is that in 32nd the panels may look a little flat and lack depth. What do you think? Thanks Darren
  12. A question for Zactoman re purchasing the sets. Is there a way to pay other than paypal like a western union transfer or something else. After a rather large issue with paypal to the sum of 1100USD going through my account fraudulenty i am no longer using paypal so i am wondering what is going to be the best way to pay for the four canopies i am after. Thanks Darren
  13. Really looking forward to seeing this come through from Zactoma, its been a great effort. For planning mate can you put me down for a total of 4 canopy sets please. Thanks Darren
  14. Boy your paypal account is about to explode!! Darren
  15. There is an extremely good article on the relative innacuracy of the Monogram EA6B over at Hyperscale with some excellent pictures showing the errors and differences between the A6E and the EA6B. Nice article for reference. Be nice to see a Prowler group build and there are some hot scheme's that flew in Japan for the EA6. Darren
  16. You are making awesome progress Zactoman. Can wait t see the finished deal. Darren
  17. Looks great mate keep the info coming and prepare for a deluge of orders!! Darren
  18. Great job on the canopy. Like the others i'll be after 5-6 so i have some spares. Bring em on!! Great effort. Darren
  19. That new shape looks excellent. Count me in for like 4!! Darren
  20. HI Mike To order the canopy through Rainbow 10 is was 690Y. Probably similar through HLJ. If you have an F15E Bunker buster though there is a spare in that box as you get two sets of glass in the kit. Still looking at what we can do with the main canopy. Looks to high to me so i am thinking about trimming the frame on the base. It will flatten it out a little and hopefully the canopy won't look so huge. Seeya Dazz
  21. I just put up a post at Hyperscale showing some of the probs and a solution to at least the front canopy. The F15's front canopy is a good match compared to the part supplied. It has a god profile and almost fits perfectly. WIth some filling at the front edge you end up with a far better looking front canopy and a much better looking Su27. The F15 canopy from Tamiya is available for cheap from HLJ and R10. It has good proportions and nice shape and when you cut off the IR pod from the other part iand put it on the Tamiya front screen t will look great. A quick get out until hopefully w
  22. MikeV "Well, I saw the kit at the NATs and the pics clearly show what I saw, the canopy is completely out of shape. I know I'm right there, so implement me of shooting my mouth off! When something is as bluntly out of shape as the windscreen, you have to near blind to not see it, or have no idea what the real one looks like. Its wrong (grossly) plain and simple." If you actually took the time to read my post you want to re-evaluate who is actually blind. I clearly stated that the windshield(which is a different part of the cockpit glazing to the canopy)was innacurate and out of shape. I ma
  23. G'day Please don't get mistaken between people providing good solid information about a kits innacurracies and people bashing a kit. Clearly we need as much info about a kit as possible so we can get a good clean opinion of a kit and where its defficiencies lie. I don't consider a statement like "Trumps cockpit is crap. The seat is too. We can only hope for some resin" to be informative or illustrative of a kits problem area's. As for your photo's you show an unpainted unweathered cockpit against the real deal. Mmmmm thats a fair deal. "On the side note I firmly believe that I have ethic
  24. G'day Zmey. "Trumps cockpit is crap. The seat is too. We can only hope for some resin" Might be a good idea to wait so you can check the kit out in person before you launch into it based on photo's which notoriously prove time and again to be a poor basis for an evaluation of a kit. The cockpit itself is a pretty good representaton of an Su27 cockpit.Nice panle with film background and a good level of detail for an injected kit. Easily the equal of any of the Tamiya kits in 32nd.The seat needs work but nothing you couldn't salvage without resorting to resin although the BB seat looks prett
