Here's my F-4D from the Monogram ADC boxing in 1988. I added True Details Napalm and a Hasegawa gun and TERS to the pylons.

Here's a few pics of a C that I've been building. It's a ERTL kit with a True Details cockpit. The engine nozzles are from Monogram and the weapons are Hasegawa. I used several decal companies and the HO tail letters are from a a white letter set i picked up. It's not quite done yet but coming along.

Very cool. My old man was stationed there in the early 70's too when they were flying C/D models.

I used to concern myself with being as accurate as possible when building, painting etc to the point of stressing over. That took the fun out of it for me. I still paint aircraft with correct colors for their service branch/theater but I don't fret over every little detail anymore. As for arming, I may not see a photo of a particular AC that I like armed with bombs. So, I may build paint and decal that particular plane but I'll arm it with a full bomb load that I like. They will be period correct bombs though.

I loved this movie as a kid.
