  1. are these sheets for pre order or are they in stock?
  2. Now that's Inspirational! Beautiful work
  3. Beautiful work! The old Monogram kit just has that F-100 look and feel to it that the Trumpeter kit lacks. Outstanding job!
  4. The modeling world is much different today than it was when a kit manufacture knew that whatever they did they had enough people who did not care about "small" issues of accuracy that their kit would sell regardless. The average initial run of kits today is very small compared to the initial runs of 20,000 kits that Revell used to see. Today the market is largely serious modelers making up the bulk of new kit sales. Initial runs today may be 3-5 thousand kits which allows for molds to be cut from alloys rather than steel keeping cost down. The smaller market is in part why kits are more ex
  5. surprised that no one has done the Michigan ANG F-4's with the nose art they carried for a couple of years. How about Michigan ANG 106's with their nose art, or the 87th FIS 106's and their nose art? ANG/AFRES has so many possibilities. A great theme
  6. Please if you could, perhaps on a separate sheet, do the walkways. Especially if you do a dark gray USN aircraft.
  7. Just purchased your mirage F-1 decal. You quality is second to none. Great decal and am looking forward to doing an Ecuadorian F-1C. Great job. Thanks for doing this sheet

  8. Just for fun, if anyone has the old Aurora kit and then the reworked Monogram kit, you can see what the starting point was and how far monogram was able to improve it. I think afterwards, the feeling at Monogram was that because the steel was so hard (about 65-70 rockwell) they if they had it to do over again would have just done the A-7 as a new kit.
  9. It is indeed the old Monogram/Aurora kit. Spoke with them about this and confirmed it. Built several many years ago and at the time it was a good kit. Like others have said, it is better than the ESCI and shape wise may be better than the HB.
  10. thanks for the replies. Knew the blue gray did not seem correct. On the T-38, yes that is the scheme. Will use a sheet of the Caracal decals (need to order those today) for the basic markings.
  11. Looks outstanding, so glad to see Vandy 9 done for the first time! Now if someone would just do the NMC logo for the fin of an F-4! Looking forward to this one!
  12. Anyone know the correct colors the ANG A-7K's are in the two tone grays? One combo says they are 36375 Dark Ghost Gray and 35737 Blue Gray and the other reference I have say they are 36270 and 36118. Secondly I am building the Academy KIA T-50 trainer as the aircraft Lockheed is proposing for the T-38 replacement. Wanting to build it in the two tone grays used on T-38's. Anyone know the correct colors for these? I am guess 36118 for the dark gray nose and tail, but the light gray have no idea. Thanks for any help.
  13. wonder if the Revell engine cover will fit?
  14. Another great decal! Thanks. Are you planning anything for the Tu-2 or DB-3/IL-4 kits?
  15. would be appropriate if the AF Museum took it, would make a perfect exhibit next to their MH-53 #357 which was also part of the TonSay Raid as Apple One.
  16. Joe, your comments on the Wingman parts I felt are perfect. Honest and real world discussion about parts which you have used and a kit which you have built (excellently I might add). You acknowledge that the resin parts could be better in details, but also show that they fit and are indeed better than the parts which they replace. I have been giving a lot of thought about the C 10 conversion and your discussion/build of the conversion parts along with earlier comments on the quality of the 3D printed master allow for me to be a well informed potential buyer of this product. Thanks
  17. NO the Revell Kits fuselage I doubt is any more accurate. The posting was meant more as a comment to how poorly KH executed their kit.
  18. All the heavy rebuilding of the KH kit almost makes you want to take the Revell Foxbat, use its fuselage as a starting point, add the KH wings, stabs, wheel wells, cockpit and detail parts.
  19. I know your research is extensive, but if you are not familiar with the site at Jet Pilot Overseas you should take a look, google it and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click onto the B-58 section. Some really nice detail shots and lots of named aircraft. My guess is that you already utilize this site, but if not than…. Looking forward to this sheet and of course more decals!
  20. Hi Jennings, glad to hear you are OK, things as you know can be replaced, your life cannot. Excited about the Minicraft 135, how long have we waited, but at least it done when they are doing well tooled kits not from the era of the 707 and 757. Also glad to see you doing a decal sheet or two for these birds. I'll chime in and ask for some of the command birds and one or two of the early natural metal birds. Best to you always
  21. Thanks Ramond for the insight into Kinetic. If I may offer some suggestions on products - please 1/32 T-38 and 1/48 T-33. Always looking forward to your new kits and exciting 2014!
  22. Build the F-5A, T-45 and F-16 without problem. They are not Hasegawa or Tamiya, but are not bad. Currently building the Kitty Hawk JAS Grippen and find it mold technology wise to be very much like the Kinetic kits. Not bad, but you have to take some time to clean up parts, test fit and then glue. The Kinetic F-5A was one of the easier builds for me. The fuselage panel inserts on the F-5A I did insert some plastic card .020 shims in the opening before gluing the parts in place as they were too thin to match the surface of the fuselage, but doing that type of thing during a build isn't new
  23. I started an Academy T-33 and I never finished it. The shape of the fin and the groove over the wing along the intake trunk ruined the look for me. The old Hawk/Testors T-33 is to me much better in shape, add in a resin cockpit, add some details from a Monogram F-80 and you can have a very good looking T-33. Never thought the T-33/F-80 would be so hard to get right shape wise, but it seems so.
  24. great selection of schemes, especially like what we used to call the Williams scheme. Very nice indeed. Now "if" some of the USN schemes, China Lake had several very colorful schemes as did Top Gun. Anyway, the Part 2 looks to be another winner.
  25. google "YF-23 red hour glass" and you will get a photo which is photoshopped. Watch the video referenced on Utube and you will hear a discussion about it. the Hour Glass shows up on the photo shown on the cover of Av Week highlighting the YF-23's first flight. It was this cover where the AF discovered the marking on the underside of the aircraft. YOu should also include as a decal the bleed air ports on the undersurface of the fuselage just above the intakes. Can send a photo if you need it. They show up on the walk around on another forum. PAV-2 is on display at the Western Museum of F
