  1. My take on ACH-47A 64-13154, 53rd Aviation Detachment, circa 1967-68, Vietnam. I finally got this one done in early February. It was rescued from the shelf of doom after languishing for around 5yrs. It put up a fight but I'm glad its built and didn't get ditched in the gash bin! Zotz decals used. Painted with a hairy stick using Humbrol and Tamiya paints, Eduard canopy paint mask, FOD screens and some other internal/ external bits,EZ line for the port side aerial. I tried to replicate the body armour in the chin bubble but you cant really see it. Photo's as
  2. Thanks Calum! Luckily you get 4 props in this kit.......you should of seen my first attempt's. Devo
  3. Thanks Steve. Here are some more pics. They are a bit blurry but I struggle with taking any decent pics. , Devo
  4. Very nicely done Calum, looks great. The pilot is a nice touch. I had a sit in the cockpit of an 801 NAS Harrier when HMS Invincible visited Fremantle in 1983. The boys plugged in power so all the stuff lite up. I was most suitably impressed as a 16 year old JR. Cheers, Devo
  5. G'day All, Finally done......... some pics of my first ever Wingnut Wings kit ( It languished for about 5 years at the closed up fuselage stage on the shelf of doom when I chickened out of continuing the build first time around). Had fun finishing*it. A few firsts on this one i.e. a WW1 aircraft, rigging (that ez line is like trying to glue spider web!!), lozenge decals and trying to make a piece of grey plastic look like a wooden propeller. As is my norm, all paint applied with a hairy stick using Humbrol and Tamiya paints. Photos to my usual crappy standard. Cheers,
  6. Nice job! I did exactly the same thing by putting on the wing star and bar upside down when I built mine in this scheme......I didn't notice the mistake until a couple of years later!! Go figure...
  7. Thankyou DePat, that helps. I'm thinking I will paint the rail a light ghost grey or something similar. Devo
  8. G'day All, Does anyone know what the AGM-65 maverick launcher rail colour was on Swiss Hunter F58's? The Revell painting guide suggests silver but I'm not 100% convinced. I have two low res pics of a Maverick armed Hunter but there is no way I can confirm the colour of the rail. I would have thought a light grey or white launch rail, as I assume the launch rail and missles came from the USA and I haven't seen a silver coloured rail. Any help on this appreciated. Devo
  9. Nice job Paolo. I agree its not such an easy kit to build.
  10. Nice job. The Tiffie looks pretty tough all tooled up.
  11. This is how my experiment turned out on a Hornet I finished a couple of years ago. I used kitchen foil. Devo
  12. Watching this one Calum. The side wall detail does look good under paint! Carry on.
