Well that did not work Red Paint bled all over the white. I used wide Tamiya tape but I believe it was a bit old. I will try to clean that up the best I can.

Looking good from here. Sorry to hear u got the wrong part. Again, good save on the screen.

Looking for some aftermarket decals and other goodies Academy AH-1Z

It comes with either Left and right engine if I recall right. Maybe a bit a surgery required but imagine how your amazing helo would look with 2 engines showing??? And there I go, creating more work for a fellow modeler..sorry. in any case I am watching your great progress on this build. oliver -

there is an engine for the Zulu. its the T700 -
Started on the building. i used Grey primer first then shading in flat black and red brown, sanded smooth before the flat white coat. 2 thin coats Flat white then applied Vallejo Grey white and more smooth sanding. I will let this dry for several days before applying the flat red squares. I did not want to push the shading too much at this stage.

Fence installed, still need to add spacers since ground not even. kind of will look like that.

Thanks, it did look too crowded. glad u like it.

Ok more photos.. I will not add the chain link fence in front of the building but will use the gates, it looked too crowded with the fence.

The photos look compressed on my side, maybe that why it looks wavy. Hand painting is the new crave. looks good. -

Are you trying a new way and brush painting the cockpit? I hear brush painting is growing lately in the modeling world. Are the black strips on the cockpit floor wavy to accommodate seatings? -
its starting to take shape. great work on the nose, i think you might be a bit busy remaking all the rivets holes on the nose. I believe Heli Scale ( i think thats the name) in Germany makes the landing gear in the version you are doing ( i think Gino used them on his h 34 build). in any case its looking good. Oliver

Copy on having pilots in the cockpit and pedals not really seen. I know you always strive on building accurate helicopters so I thought would share my knowledge and help. Can't wait to see your cockpit with the pilots. What brand of pilots are you using? -

Check your tail rotor pedals. It appears to me the PE mesh should behind and not upfront. -
Thanks. this is so outside of my comfort zone since I have never done anything like that. Plenty of mistakes in the process. Glad u like it. oliver

About 15 years ago there was an announcement about the CH 53 but sadly it went nowhere until this. Love to see more on this like interior, cockpit And rotorhead. i agree $800 is a bit much but resin is expensive and designing this might be as well.

Academy kit...I see you are ready for a challenge. Good start -

Chain link fence in progress. the plan is to put part of the red and white cbuilding in the corner behind the chain link fence. I was going to add barbed wire on top of the fence but it looks to aggressive in my opinion. Finally got my wood board.

Wow, that's some tight work. Looks really sharp.

I see some progress going on here. Starting to look like a nose.

I hope folks will enjoy this build, will see how it does whenever I compete with it. What are you working on? Oliver
