  1. I'll go with canopy rail too. There can be a lot of other stuff on the tail at times, so I'd prefer to have the markings on or near the canopy (as a modeller of course!). I do think the kill markings on the splitter plate on an F-4 look pretty cool too though.
  2. Fantastic build, great techniques and a great project.
  3. That would be amazing. So many schemes, so little time!
  4. Awesome! The sharpest and most badass looking tailfins in my book (alongside VF-74 F-14's)
  5. Nice to see VF-74 getting some love! Very nice model, well done.
  6. Excellent work! That looks superb, very realistic weathering.
  7. Wish they would hurry up, and bring out a 'late' F-14A with all the bombcat goods!
  8. Is it likely that there will be a 1/48 VMFA-531 F/A-18A decal sheet or low vis marking option included on a sheet?
  9. Very nice, thanks for sharing these pics.
  10. Yes, but very 'toylike' when not in the swept position. The wing bladders will not raise up as they would have done in real life, to create an aerodynamic form, when swept forward you would not be able to drop flaps and slats. This is a far better idea - pick the position you want and then model it accordingly.
  11. Very nice indeed, a good looking model of a good looking plane.
  12. Looking good, can't argue with an Intruder. Looking forward to the display case pics.
  13. Plastic tubs (oversized to your models) and teddy bear stuffing. A friend who makes commission models uses this combo for shipping completed models. No fluff/paper dust, lightweight, doesnt damagelike Styrofoam peanuts can, forms a good cushion.
  14. Great pictures, really nice and clear, some little seen or onown of aircraft. Favourite has to be the Su-27 prototype.
  15. That doesn't sound wrong, I remember doing research on this same conundrum when I made my VF-31 jet. Refueling door was removed (a lot of the pics of the VF-31 had them off), 2x AIM-9, LTS pod on stbd and I certainly saw MOST had a Phoenix pylon on the port shoulder, but do not remember seeingan AIM-54C loaded. Certainly acceptable to load 4x GBU-12, but they did often mix GBU-12 loads with JDAM GBU-32.
  16. Definitely worthwhiletrying to get the Mushroom Models books, a lot of info. Modellers Datafile books by SAM publications are also very useful.
  17. That is nice, almost can't recognise it as a Revell Tomcat. Very good work on the camo.
  18. Getting to the stage of fitting canopy in preparation for priming - then I saw this; Short shot pilot's canopy. I would be happy to pay and cover costs of postage to UK.
  19. Hopefully the price doesn't increase, that's pretty reasonable to start with.
  20. Nice! Just rememberto dry fit as you, I had to sand off a load of plastic under the IP coaming to get the fuselage together. The etch does make a snug fit in places. But it does look good. Let me know if you want some PM'd pics from the DACO book on placing the wing strap, intake ECM canoes and the wing fences.
