  1. Oh, you'll need to make your own GPS dome (google search for images for size etc) or get the Wolfpack Designs update if you are feeling flush!
  2. ^ Yes, I believe it was an antenna (I will find out for you from my DACO book later), but with the later updates was removed. Then, with the use of JDAM's, they needed the GPS guidance, so the GPS dome was installed centreline of the spine between the TACAN antenna and the shorter antenna nearer the 'turtleback'. I beleive the C45 antenna (as we shall call it here) was already deleted before this ocurred anyway. The first exercise live JDAM drops were on 15 Feb 2001, made by VF-11, VF-143 and VX-9. The first JDAM dropped in anger by a Tomcat was on 11 Mar 2002. Source: http://www.anft.net/f-
  3. Except I think part C45 is not on the later a/c. You may be better off replacing this with a centrally (along the spine centreline) placed GPS dome for an accurate F-14B. ?
  4. Bought the 1/48 AIM-54 Phoenix from them. No problems and the missiles look hot! Can't wait to sling them under a 'Cat or two! The shipping was a wait (it was over Christmas period) but solidly packed and good product.
  5. I would say unlikely. The plumbing is probably not designed for that.
  6. Maybe they are spending their time more wisely and making things a little better for newer releases?
  7. Superb work, that camouflage is particularly impressive and the quality of your build is great. Lovely to see this, thanks for sharing.
  8. A great effort, but do watch the accented panel lines - they are looking a little over done.
  9. 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A+ of VF-74 'Bedevilers', DESERT STORM 1/48 Hasegawa F-16N of VF-43 'Challengers' 1/48 Hasegawa Fw190A-4 of JG54 'Grunherz', Estonia 1943
  10. Really superb, I noticed the minor seam lines too, but it's always tough with a NMF. May I ask what airbrush you use, as the mottling is super fine on the tail, very nice.
  11. ^ As a WHIF, it must be the ELU(Early Life Upgrade) that provided the Lightning II FGR.1 with strengthened wing and pylon fit?! Pretty darned cool anyway, good to see another of these built.
  12. I can send you the F-14 missile rails if you're still looking for them.
  13. Holy smokes! That is ridiculous! I love the weathering and the corrosion control effect you've achieved, it's extraordinarily realistic, excellent.
  14. Thanks guys, I did the wing markings with charcoal and graphite pencils, they ended up a little dark under the varnish. Thanks for the welcome, I'm just getting my head around how much there is on this site!
  15. Thanks for the comments guys, look forward to seeing your F-15J f12aaa.
  16. That is good... Really like the patchy, weathered look, esp around the cockpit. Nice one.
  17. Date dependant, I'd love to join with a SAAF F1CZ.
  18. Hi guys(and gals), just joined the ARC forums, so thought I'd post up one or two of my 2012 builds. I've posted this in the 'Display Case' area too, but I didn't realise critique was a different area! This F-14A+ was built for another forum's F-14 group build. I really enjoyed making it and it is the pride of my model display. Nothing quite like a low-vis Tomcat armed to the teeth! Anyway, the base kit is the Hasegawa F-14D 'CVW-14' kit using the F-14B bits. I used the excellent Fightertown VF-74 48-052 sheet for the decals, portraying one of my favourite planes that flew in Desert Storm.I c

Many items are 'field replaced' direct from the factory, so not all are finished/painted in the sand colour. This is particularly relevant with replacement panels, where you can see OD panels on sand colour vehicles. Also note the spare wheel assist
